Are people giving SF to much credit? Are we being over critical of how Dallas Played?

Dallas has a history of playing poorely against bad teams That said what about this weekend agains Oakland who is 0-3? Will we play the same? I don't think so even though we had peterson guarnteeing a win against us by sf we didn't buy into it but this week I've read a few articles that talk about how Moss has owned the Cowboys. I think Dallas will be up for this game and play like we should week to week, We will be looking to shut out moss but that in itself can hurt us we don't need to focus soley against Moss.

My point of this is we play bad against bad teams but this week I think we will play great due to the hype surronding this game with moss and our DB's.

It is early in the season and not sure how good or how bad some of these teams are. I'm seeing some teams look real good one week and real bad the next "see KC" just to name 1 team

Great point.

I think its a blessing in disguise. Two Defense busts against teams we should have outright stomped... One at the wrong time (last 3 minutes) I think it gives Zimmer time to correct the issue before we go against Moss. We can throw some different looks and coverages at them to prevent moss from man handling us. I think we have a good shot if our D pays off. Look for high scores though.

OH and Newman, dont sit on Moss's chest again that just pisses him off no matter how funny it is :lmao2:

I think SF is a much better team than many give them credit for. I really think Nolan is one of the best young HCs around. His dad was a pretty fair coach as well. There's a great deal of football knowledge that resides in Nolan. Anybody surprised he wants to wear a suit and tie for game day, rather then a warm up?

I don't care how good or bad SF is, Dallas is coming off a 6-10 season and their fans have no reason to believe they should "dominate" anyone. Especially on the road after a bad Monday Night hang-over.

I agree, this team is still learning and trying to improve. People need to learn how to enjoy a win around here no matter who it is against or how close the game was.

For what it's worth, I agree. Having said that, I wish you luck trying to get this point across to the many fans.

This is a young team that's still cutting it's teeth. There will be some head scratching games this year for sure. It's a new game this week....and no reason to think that we don't have a decent chance to win.

Need a solid 60 mins.

A win is a win...as much as i wanted you guys to lose you pulled it off. Good win for you guys after your week 2 loss to us...The nfc east record is combined at 8-3...thats ridiculous.

I for one have high expectations but being realistic, I do realize this team is still maturing and searching for an identity. We have alot of new players on both sides of the ball with several learning new positions.

If I can keep from having heart failure before seasons end I will enjoy watching this team come together. I am reminded so much of the 65, 75, and 91 Cowboys. Those teams made you love them one week and break your heart the following. They were fun years my friends. Set back relax and let come what may. This is the beginning of something we will all be proud of.

One thing for sure the 05 Cowboys will be exciting.

Im afraid to ask how old you were back in 65.

21 my friend.......Watching this team from it's infancy has been a Godsend..well most of the time. :)

We're a team filled with youthful players and rookies...

You can see that were clicking on offense, but the fact is we have 1 rookie starting on offense... and 2 second year players, and 1 third year player.

On defense though we have Davis who is starting for his first year, and is a 2nd year player. We have DeMarcus Ware in there, then we sub in a lot of rookies like Spears, Canty, and Burnett... Fujita hasn't been here very long. Glover and especially Ellis have limited experience in the 3-4....

We have a new secondary coach, and I think that is going to cause some problems in the secondary too.

I mean we just gotta beat this learning curve. I admit to being niave enough to think that everything would click from the get go.

I think that curve would have been better had we done something at free safety in free agency. But we can't really do anything at this point, so we're going to have to hope for the best.

I disagree. This team was almost beaten by a team that could be the worst team in the entire NFL.

3 Weeks in a row, they have been giving up big plays and they face an offense that loves to live off of the big play.

I would say about 80-90 Percent of the teams in the league would be 0-3 if they had to open up against the Eagles and New England, the two teams who were in the Super Bowl last year and the Chiefs aint exactly chop liver either.

Bottom Line, we switch schedules with the Raiders and we are 0-3 just like they are.

I agree, ABQ... That team isn't as bad as people make them out to be. I think people are reading too much into the Eagles slaughter. But that game was in Philly, and it's very common for young teams to play dramatically worse on the road than they do at home. I bet they play several teams tough at home this year.
