QB Anthony Richardson - How High Does He Go?

He declared for the draft today. Closest thing to Cam Newton since Cam Newton but very unpolished. What team in the first round falls in love with his ceiling and takes him?

He needs the right coach and system to really have a shot to be successful in the league. I see a poor man's Lamar Jackson that needs a whole lot of polish. Could go round 2 but I would not touch him till the 4th. Seriously doubt he is a Cowboy.

I'll throw out a few teams I could see really giving him a good look:

Indianapolis - complete rebuild at the position needed
Washington - Heinicke's a bus driver and Wentz is a bust driver
Tampa Bay - Brady isn't playing forever, just feels that way

I agree. But maybe an insane combine/pro-day and great interviews may creep him up.

He shouldn't, but some team is going to take him there because of his ceiling. He's unrefined as a passer, but some team is going to treat him like Justin Fields and let him run while he figures out how to play as a QB better.

Upon further review...probably 2nd. Too much talent running the ball, he's a great runner. Also, with some decent coaching his passing could be good. Hurts may help Richardson's draft stock because AR is a more talented runner.

Some GM out there is going to think of him as a faster Josh Allen and pull the trigger. I think Allen was a bit more accomplished as a passer coming out of college than Richardson though.

If he's boom or bust someone will fall in love with the Boom. He will probably test off the chart. Lots of teams have a pure suck QB. Needs to go to a team that has a long in the tooth starter. Maybe Indy.
