Anyone think it possible that the Cowboys get a QB at #4 (or a bit lower if they trade down) and still take a QB with that high #2 if someone like Wentz falls? What a QB controversy.

No thank you...I'm struggling enough trying to come to grips with the 1st round pick being a QB we HOPE will sit for two to three seasons. No way I want none of the premium picks to be impact players in 2016. Both of these rounds are supposed to produce day 1 type starters.

Nothing would surprise me when Jerry's Circus is in town. Always RE-Active, never PRO-Active. Can't remember the year of the draft, but I recall Jerry taking 3 CBs in the same draft because our secondary was putrid.

Personally I would like to see a trade back from 4, possibly to the 10-15 range, and pickup an extra draft pick or two. I am hoping we draft a developmental QB later in the draft, 2nd or 3rd round, to sit behind Romo and learn.

No, we won't do that. That would be as ridiculous as signing Johnny Manziel. ;)

no 2 words i hate more than "development QBs",the chance of these guys becoming a franchise QB is one in a ROMO.

Is that you Jerry, lol.

Brady, Brunell, Gannon, Rypien, Theismann, Starr, Staubach...just to name a few, all taken in later rounds. How often are there sure fire franchise QB's in the draft...and how often do we draft high enough to have a chance at getting one?? Have to take a shot at some point. I believe Jerry has drafted just 2 QB's since 1992. We need to start grooming somebody behind Romo.

for your strategy to work(the odd are astronomically against it) we would have to consistently draft Qbs and hope one of them works out.we dont do that either ,my hope is to draft the most talented Qb in the draft and hope he works out.

The three gloves draft... That's what I called that one. Can't remember which one but the player and his agent was shocked he was picked at that spot

On the other hand we drafted 2 QB's since 1992, and lucked out with a FA named Romo. Wonder what the odds are on that happening again?

I like the idea of a young guy sitting behind Romo and learning. If we wait for the next Aikman, Brady, Manning, or Roethlisberger, could be a really long wait. Although I have zero confidence that this coaching staff can develop a rookie QB, I do believe that Romo would be an excellent mentor.

The top 3 QB's taken in the last 5 drafts were:
2014 - Bortles, Manziel, Bridgewater (Carr, McCarron, and Garoppolo were available a little later in the draft)
2013 - EJ Manual, Geno Smith, Mike Glennon (Glennon went in round 3, I would like to see the Cowboys make a trade for him)
2012 - Luck, RG111, Tannehill (Wilson and Cousins were available later in the draft)
2011 - Cam, Jake Locker, Blaine Gabbert (Dalton available in round 2)
2010 - Bradford, Tebow, Clausen

Borltes, bridgwater and Carr are very good, most of the starting QBs in the league are 1st and 2nd Rders, this is because they have the most talent.

It is far likely we draft no quarterback and we are told to like it.
