A potential opportunity for the Cowboys.

This is the scenario I've been hoping for.

Do you know what kind of pick does could be looking at in that situation? Say moving from 28 to 35 or something like that?

Feel much better about Adoree Jackson with an extra pick or 2 in my pocket then taking him at 28.

That would be nice to have the chance for a trade down. But that run could also just be teams like the Giants, Texans, and Chiefs picking ahead of Dallas.

That is the one thing I am banking on at this point.

Whatever team you trade with, you'll probably get their 4th.
Yep.. Assuming Dallas trades down to the mid-late 30's. You'll get an early fourth back. Very unlikely that they get a 3rd back since it would be almost like a late 2nd.

As I said in another thread there is some confirmation this is a possibility from a Steelers site that says they are eyeing Kizer with their first rounder.

I just hope of we do, we don't trade Lesean McCoy for Robert Brewster and Vic Butler again

If the guy I want is sitting there at #28 - in my case Watt - I'm not taking calls. I'm drafting my player. If all of the ones they like are gone, then a possible trade down makes sense. If I did so, I'd love to get #33 and be in the driver's seat for Day Two.

Though it's still not refelected in the value charts, the picks to start each day have more value than others.

You have to take calls either way. A team desperate for a QB may be offering you a sweet deal.

It would have to be mega-sweet for me to lose out on the pass rusher I truly covet and need.

Fans often think they can get cute, gain more picks, and still get "their guy". We see it happen in mocks all the time. And I think we've even seen it from the Cowboys over the years too. It never works out.

With the depth of this draft, dropping down ten spots to net a potential 3rd is intriguing. QB is the one position where you can make some people overpay on draft value especially with the lack of depth in this class.

Dont get your hopes up

You are probably right. We have limited relationships with some teams from what it appears. A lot of those deals go down because of who knows who and is comfortable dealing with.

That last few times Dallas as traded around, it has actually been with the Eagles and Commanders.

I agree that you should take the calls either way. There is no downside to listening to offers. If you don't like the offer, you decline and draft at #28.

It's the best feeling when you can get someone to compete with themselves and obtain more value. Football related or not.
