QB should be our 1 priority in the draft

It has been reported that Dak will receive the franchise tag meaning Dak is not going to be happy. Now this just might have been leaked by Jerry as a nog technique. However, If Dak does not get a long term deal he is likely going to want to test free agency meaning we need to now focus on getting our next franchise QB. We should take the best QB at 17 perhaps even trade up if we fall in love with a QB. This is a deep QB draft class. Burrow, Tua, and Herbert are likely to go top ten. Who should be our focus ? Love, Eason, Hurts, Fromm ? I would hate to give up a lot of our future picks to trade up. Who do you think will fall to 17 ?
 
If dallas didnt want to sign him long term they shouldve traded him before the deadline this season. His price wont be lower next offseason.
 
I like Eason out of the 3 named.

Love would of been the answer had he come out in 18.

ROMO is dead to me please don't turn this into a Romo thread. Seriously Dak is not going to be happy if he is franchised like Cusins. He is likely to want to test free agency. It would be ideal to allow our new franchise QB to sit a year like Mahomes this is a good time to take a QB as is a very strong QB class.

That was exactly what should have happened. We should have attempted to find a trade partner but either we hoped he would sign for a reasonable deal or perhaps Mcarthy is not sold on Dak. Maybe Mcarthy wants to draft HIS guy ? What ever the reason if Dak is not signed we will need a new QB. Dak is going to be Cousins all over again.
 
If Tua slipped..................... I'd be tempted.

Burrow is not an option. However the other two are if Dallas wanted to trade up. They'd have to give up a lot but I don't think they'd be losing anything swapping Dak out. It's a trade off. Huge contract for Dak or picks for his replacement. The latter is a viable option if Dak is asking for top dollar.

pay Dak...at 17...Kinlaw or Delpit or Fulton for me.
 
If Dallas really wants a qb, they should trade down this year and accumulate picks and trade some guys in the preseason. Stock up in ammo to get one of the best QBs next year. I wouldn’t panic and trade up for the 2nd or 3rd QB this year.

I feel like Dak is being strung along. It would be hard for him to pass up the Tag, but he’s got to put his foot down. He should probably wait until after the draft to make his move, but either way it’s not fair he’s a starting QB for 4 years and makes peanuts. I really don’t think drafting a QB and tagging Dak will work....well it would work for the team ending up not making the playoffs but hey they’d get a better pick.
