your not comparing him to much either...

do I expect him to throw for more yards than Vick? YES

Do I expect him to throw fewer interceptions than an aging Favre? YES

Most of the QBs on the various lists played less than 16 games. For instance Carson Palmer played 13. His 2800+ yards in 13 games are better than the 3k JH had in 16. Not coindicentally JH is not being compared to a single QB or a handful of them in the same stats. Guys that threw alot of TDs generally had more TDs and yards. Guys with less games had less TDs and yards thus appear on those lists. The QB rating list is the least impressive because it is the hardest one to "fool" with a simple games played strategy.

In another words I could post all the big name guys who averaged less yards per game than Julius Jones, less yards per carry, had fewer TDs, had more fumbles et all by designing the list around good players like Portis, Bettis(used in short yardage so crappy ypc), Staley(was not scoring back due to Bettis) and others.

The bottom line on JH is a guy who has been installed as a franchise QB and had the offense built up around him should be performing at a higher level. Especially in the QB friendly WCO. If I had to compare JH to any QB it would be Quincy Carter honestly. JH is not on drugs AFAIK but he is inconsistent and often maddeningly so at the most inconvenient time. The skill is there but it might take serious teeth pulling to get it displayed consistently.

I think the problem with JH hasn't been his ability but he has constantly had to look over his shoulder since day 1 None of his coachs in Detroit have given him 100% backing Now he has one of Steve M. Boys for a back up and he will be looking over his shoulder again this season. I think he could be a top notch QB if not for this now at the same time I would think he would grow a little and quit worrying about who is backing him up and what the media and fans think because if he goes out and plays like he can then the media and fans would quit asking about his back up. IMO

If you cannot get pass worrying about someone who might take your job then you deserve to lose it. If you cannot do your job because you are afraid you might lose it then you deserve to lose it. JH has had his chances and has not done much. He will have one last chance this year. He has had PLENTY of chances. He just has not performed.
poor little JH: WAAAAHHHHH- I can't do my job because I am worried.
TOTAL BS.
