I realize it's not an immediate need, but with Nassib, Barkley and Bray (amongst others) still available, will the value be too good to pass up if one these guys slip to our 4th pick?

I would say it's a long shot as Romo is entrenched for the next three years and the rookie contracts will likely be up around that time. Still, it is a bit enticing to take one of these guys and start the development process.

This is a good idea. There is quality there still.

If we like the value I see nothing wrong with spending, say, a fifth-round pick on a quality QB prospect. Orton is a little older and Romo has suffered some sort of bone break for three straight seasons.

So that begs the question. Let's say Nassib, Barkley, Bray, etc. are all still available at our pick (I think a couple of these get gobbled up early).

Who would you take? I would probably go with Nassib. I really don't think Barkley's a bad option, but his arm strength worries me.

No - He's not going to be a prospect that will succeed Romo so why waste your time? I will only consider a QB if I'm planning on replacing Romo fairly soon.

I'd rather go OT or DL at 114. Both QB's will be gone by then anyways.

No chance whatsoever.. You are talking about a head coach that is on the hot seat this season, no way will he waste a pick on a QB.

Makes a lot of sense....which means Jerry will not do it. He'll worry about that in 3 or 4 years.

But I agree, Bray or Landry Jones would be great.

With our glaring needs at Oline, dline OLB, safety...yet we used our 2nd pick on a TE ....I can honestly say nothing would surprise me

Go Cowboys
