Let's take a look at the QB's our D will face this year and how our D may do against them. Though much of that will have to do with theOL's as well, and overall offense.

Giants, Eli. We have his number for the most part, and with our quick DL, he will be sacked often. We can load the box to stop Barkley as well.
at Commanders, Smith, will he be backs it will be Keenum or Haskins. No matter what, I think our D can handle this as well, at least during the 2nd game of the season.
Dolphins, I guess it will be Rosen. So this should be no challenge as Dolphins need a lot of help.
at Saints, Brees. Will be very tough down there, regardless of what happened here last season. He can still beat this defense.

GB, Rodgers. Regardless of the GB team, Rodgers seems to have our number no matter what, this will be a test actually of how our D has improved overall.
at Jets, Darnold. This will be hard to say, as it depends how Darnold has improved as the Jts with Bell at RB as well.
Eagles, Wentz. No matter what we think of Wentz, it will still be a tough game. But it seems we have success against him, it is not like he will do a Rodgers on the D.
at Giants, Eli, or will it be jones by this time. Either way, same results.

Vikings, Cousins. Seems he never lives up to his hype, and it is a home game, I give the edge to our D.
at Lions, Stafford. Being an away game, this could be a tough game, as I never rule out a Stafford good game. But still I give our D the edge, and it will be a Hyder coming out game against his former team.
at Patriots, Brady. Oh boy, how does this one go. I actually think our D can get to Brady and force some mistakes. Doesn't man they will win as Brady at home will still be tough.
Bills, will it be Allen. Does it matter, Beasley will have something to prove, but it will not happen. I think our D smothers them.

at Bears, Trubisky. I still think he can be a very good Qb, but does he have enough to win the division again. With their defense, probably, but how will our D do against them on he road, in a possible cold game. I think better than most believe.
Rams, Goff. Revenge game for Dallas, and at home. no way they allow that many yards on the ground again. But this will be another tough game, can our D get to goff enough to make a difference.
at Eagles, Wentz. Same as above, but a possible cold weather game at their house. Will Wentz even be playing? It will still be tough on the D though.
Commanders, who will be the QB?. Does it matter, will we be resting players or playing for the division or a playoff spot. At least it is a home game to finish the season, and the D will want to show why they are a top D no matter what.

I don't expect Josh Allen/Bills to be a threat, but for a big dude, he can move. Can run over, to the side or simply jump over a defender.

Good thread......your chances of W starts at QB. This the first place I've always compared/looked in assessing our chances of winning. As mentioned already, only a couple QBs on the schedule scares me, the rest we should be fine.

I like the thread topic.
Just a note: Alex Smith has already been ruled out this year. Possibly career ending but he'll attempt to return.
I'll comment on a few, in no order.

Cousins- you're spot on here. I'll add that the bigger the game, the worse he typically performs.
Usually the second year with a new team is a big year for QBs. However, unless it's a
1pm or 4pm est game, the D does well here and we run away with it in the 4th.

Stafford- I genuinely feel bad for this guy. He should be a superstar in this league.
He may connect with big Kenny Golladay enough to get the win in the Motor City.

Brady- Is this the game the clock strikes 12 on number 12? With no Gronk and IF we shore up the middle,
The Goat may have to beat us on the outside. The game will be close and (gasp) we'll be out coached.
But most NE opponents do.

Allen- Strange one here. I mean, we should crush them, but I don't know. Either way, I bet Beasley is out
by the time we play them. The Allen kid has a cannon for an arm and can run as well.
Pass rush will be key. Maybe D-Law goes off this week.

Goff- Once Cooper Kupp returns, everyone will be in awe of Goff's gaudy stats. This one will be tough and
we may have to wait until the playoffs before we figure out the Rams.

Trubisky- Weather may be a factor here but I think this will be a game where the D shows some dominance.
The HC is the former OC in KC. Say that five times, fast... lol. Maybe Tarik Cohen gets a freak score
before halftime like Tyreek Hill did a couple years ago. We beat KC 28-10, I believe. We get a solid 'W'.
Oh, and Kahlil Mack will be a non-factor in this game.

It's correct to acknowledge that our defense will be facing some dangerous QBs this year.

It's likely as valid to state they should face some pretty testy pressure vs. our defense. :)

This season will be a true test. The reason is when the expectations get higher for the Cowboys they always seem to find a way to trip up. If the Cowboys can take care of business and stay focused they should have a good season. When looking at the schedule I always assume they split all division games and anything more is a bonus. Wade Philips has the Cowboys number and enjoys revenge on this team every time they play. They wont beat the Rams. The Saints will get revenge. Brady is a real wild card because he is just about due to start his slide downhill or he could get injured at his age. The Jets will be a tough game.
The Vikes, Pack and Bears will be dogfights. There really arent any easy games but maybe the Dolphins and Bills. The Bills though are building a good defense though and could be pesky.

Bring em on.

@jazzcat22 how many interceptions do you think we get on D this year? And who leads the team?

More than last year but probably not as many as some think or want. Not until I see it on the field.
If Iloka can start at S, I say he willcljead the team with 5. If Not a wild guess, Awuzie with 4.
