We face some tough opposing QBs this year with a few exceptions. Look at this opposing QB lineup for 2025:
  • Patrick Mahomes
  • Jayden Daniels (twice)
  • Jalen Hurts (twice)
  • Jared Goff
  • Jordan Love
  • Justin Herbert
  • Caleb Williams
  • Kyler Murray
  • Bo Nix
  • Geno Smith
  • JJ McCarthy
  • Bryce Young
  • Jets QB (probably Justin Fields)
  • Giants QB (twice - probably Russell Wilson)
Over 50% of NFL teams lose their starting QB for at least a game due to injury or benching so who knows if all these guys will be there when we face them. Especially the guys like Wilson, Fields, McCarthy, and maybe Young.

This is still a pretty tough slate of QBs to face this year. Three of those guys have SB rings (Mahomes, Hurts and Wilson) and 5 have conference championship appearances (Mahomes, Hurts, Goff, Daniel’s and Wilson)

Wouldn’t surprise me if Kyler Murray does the most damage. I believe he’s 2-0 against the Cowboys. Our defense looks like the keystone cops every time we face him. He runs circles around us. We have players crashing into each other trying to tackle him. Looking at that group of QBs, we better hope the defense has vastly improved. Our pass rush better be fierce.

Parsons, Fowler, Williams, Kneeland, Osa and Ezeiruaku will put the fear of God into them all. Well, except for maybe Mahomes.

The Cardinals in general clown the Cowboys for some reason.

The last time was against Joshua Dobbs. Even he made us look silly using his legs. The Cardinals rushed for 222 yards and completely dominated us. That was after destroying our first two opponents in 2023. If we have another rough year the defense will be the main reason. We didn’t do anything on the DL to make me excited. It won’t surprise me if we get our doors completely blown off defensively at least a couple of times this season.

Wonder if any other teams look at their schedule and has Dak as a tough QB to face ?

Vegas certainly agrees with you. Last I saw they had us at 7.5 wins. For me it’s way too early to predict. We haven’t even seen these guys in pads yet.
Sure but we can make some predictions based on recent history and current trends while keeping in mind preseason predictions can be iffy. Too many factors including injuries .

Couple that with how we addressed our weaknesses, how our divisional opponents improved and strength of schedule .

I think 8-9 wins could be generous. And would be an improvement over last year but will that be enough to overcome the other factors . Unfortunately I see at least 7 better teams than the Cowboys in NFC which means no playoffs.

10 of our games are against playoff teams from last year . 2 each with Phi and Wash, Det, GB, Minn, LAC, Den, KC.

Bears and Cards could be improved .Most winnable games are 2 against NYG, NYJ, Car & LV. I’d say 7 -8 wins as a prediction is pretty solid .

Eagles Washington face the same qb so ‍♂️

The eggles DL made Mahomes their b in the last SB , KC OL is not that good , but Reid would have improved it a little at least this year.

I’m thinking Bears could be most improved team in NFC. The NFC North is just brutal and we have to play them all.

And we have to play AFC West. Arguably best 2 divisions in NFL and to boot both Wash and Phil twice.

I really don’t see how any respectable analysts could predict more than 8 wins. And that’s based on us improving .

So do the Broncos. Thier defense is always a nightmare for Dak.
Our defense was a nightmare the two times we played them under Dak. Trevor Simeon had 4 TD passes in 2017 against us. We lost a Teddy Bridgewater in 2021. The Broncos had over 200 yards rushing in that game. Funny how some of you continue to ignore our defense.

Cardinals and Broncos own Dallas no matter what the year. Raiders tend to win as well.
