I hadn't thought to quantcast CZ before. Not sure how these numbers compare to reality, but 38% 13-17 years old certainly would explain some threads (and make me feel pretty silly).

And for fun, here's a comparison to Extremeskins. Their audience is much older, and doesn't have any kids. Go figure.

I think that 38% is rather high, unless it is considered a mental age, if so the number should skyrocket.

it should be pointed out that extremeskins is the official forum linked from Commanders.com whereas trueblue is the official cowboys forum. I like this place better though cause of the layout and moderators ;D

Quantcast is actually an awesome site, and it's data is quite good when their tracking is implemented on a page. For sites like CZ and Extremeskins, where all visits are estimated, it's not as effective, obviously. Still interesting to look at.

Here's the CZ Alexa ranking, too. Alexa data is based off of extrapolations from a browser plug-in, typically.

Hmm, when "all visits are estimated" it would suggest that the report of the statistics is drawn more toward an average of known internet use than to actual use. Either that or it is just totally random.

In fact, where is says "data are estimated," right next to it, appears "is this your site" -- clearly what they want is to sell their service to site owners (or build up a bunch of data to allow them to sell information ... either way they are looking for $). By providing a random estimate, they will likely hit a bunch of site owners who say "hey now, that don't sound right!" Just the sort of thing that might motivate someone to use the service.

on the other hand, one piece of data does look correct. There are no Native Americans on Extremeskins.
