I heard on a Vancouver radio station that back up QB here for the BC Lions, Casey Printers might be looking to go the NFL. Apparently, he has a try out with the Cowboys. I think someone said he played for TCU but I don't know.

I don't like the idea of bringing in a CFL QB but he can move, has a good arm and wins when he plays.

Of course, one poster in this thread won't like him because he ain't white ;)

Yeah, he played for TCU. Had a really good winning percentage as starting QB there, too.... but then he handed it to LT quite a lot.

i agree it's time to get ourselves a young QB to develop that we can build this franchise around. I want it to be henson, but it doesn't look like that's in the cards.

So for me, I look at Rivers, who I loved in college or Jay Cutler who did wonders at Vandy.

Is he still splitting time with Dave Dickenson? I don't know if you have much of a NFL career if you can't beat out Dickenson. Dickenson is a gamer, but not exactly much of a NFL'er.

Bledsoe is gonna be here 1-2 years more
Henson/Romo aren't our future

The time is now...we NEED to draft a QB with our first round pick. This would be very advantageous, because Bledsoe could work as a mentor to this new pick. We could trade up for good picks, so who do you guys think we should draft?

Ideas?

Romo is a Parcells pick, FWIW. He seems to really like this kid(unlike Henson).

BTW-unless Tuna gets a K extension this year, he ain't gonna be back.

Yes he will, hes got the D he wants hes a few pieces away and wont quit. The extension just makes him feel more comfortable

Dickenson was the starter this year, mostly because he is being paid more which is usually reason enough to start someone in the CFL.

I like Vince Young.....

He is too much of a Gimmick QB..... (ala Micheal Vick who will never lead any team to the SB) He will get hammered against SC......

THREE PEAT FOR THE TROJANS

He was the CFL MVP last year.... I really like this guy... Seen him play many times.....

If we bring in Rivers, we'll just end up screwing up his natural motion and will ****** his progress by another couple of years. If I was Rivers, I'd stay the hell away. I think a place like Detroit would be ideal for him. He would have three very young and potentially very good receivers to throw to. Also a young back who's shown flashes. And expectations can't be too high playing for a perennial loser. Too bad he can't pick and choose where he ends up yet.

Agreed!! I believe we set Drew Henson back a few years by screwing with his throwing motion. The funny thing is that Bledsoe has almost a side arm delivery too. :banghead:

Phillip Rivers is a winner, and I think is ready to step in right away and start for this team. He is mobile, has a good arm, is smart, and again, is a winner. He won at NC State with less talent than most teams, and he has great pocket presense. As opposed to Bledsoe who chooses to step up in the pocket EVERY time right into the nose tackle who has driven our center back like he has a stering wheel on his chest. Sorry, for the sidebar. Have loved Rivers since freshman year.

I don't really have anything negative to say about Rivers. However, I'm not convinced he's worth the price it will take for Dallas to pry him away from the Chargers. Two #1's probably??

I've really liked what I have seen of Cutler from Vanderbilt.. Though I am not sure he is a first rounder, but second round is an easy consideration IMO...
