Kyle Queiro, S, NORTHWESTERN. 6’3, 220 lbs.
10 career INTs.
We signed him as a UDFA.

Anyone have any insight or thoughts on this guy?
Watch his college tape the guy appears to be quite a playmaker.
Some of the INTs he made were amazing athletic feats and some were due to super awareness and reading/jumping the route before the ball made it. Locker room leader at NW, apparently ran a very slow 40 and teams didn’t think he had the speed to play safety in the NFL.
I’m wondering if he can add a few more pounds and play OLB. He def has the height and his speed would be fine for a LB.
There are always UDFAs that grab my interest, esp considering some of the success we’ve had with UDFAs, and this guy is one of them along with the DT from OK St.

I see Queiro as a SS. LBs have to take on OL, TEs n FBs...I don't see Kyle being effective doing those things. Like ghst187 mentioned Queiro's anticipation n instincts on ball are his strengths. Put this guy n position to make plays (turnovers). Kyle is a bit slow, but n this Cover 3 zone heavy scheme his talents can be accentuated. Short coverage area (curl/flat) coupled w/ short area quickness n anticipation=danger zone for passers.

Right now he's S Roy Williams size'ish which is too small for LB and too big for
S. He would be making a position change to try out at LB. He will be limited to an in the box S however. Really like his tape hope he can find a spot to contribute, just not sure where it will be....I suppose that's why he went Undrafted in the first place.

Yo quero Queiro

The new rage is the SS/LB hybrid position. Sounds like good fit for Quiero.

Just put him on the field, he's a football player period.

Plus he is a playmaker right now, consistantly produced, no waiting on his potential based on measurables or a one year wonder.
