I haven't been to a game since the new stadium was built (live 400 miles away). I wanna take my son for his 16th birthday. Can you guys give me tips on the best way to find good seats for a good price? Thanks!

I can tell you how to get good seats but probably not for a good price. Seat Geek is a search engine that scours all ticket sale sites including stub hub and ebay.

Try the nfl ticket exchange.

Ticket holders are almost entirely made up of greedy jerks who think its ok to charge 5x face value for their tickets just because. So it's hard to find a ticket at fair prices and impossible to find them at face value.

Some of the biggest crooks you will ever meet are season ticket holders and it sucks.

buy your tickets the day before the game (stubhub)
pick an easy game, St Louis or Oakland
hope we lose the game before, it drives down the price

Actually I agree the closer to game day the lower the price. I once got loge seats at FedEx the morning of the game on stubhub for near face value. If there are plenty of seats a few days before, make the trip and buy the tickets the day before or the day of the game. Those tickets are perilously close to being worthless so sellers are desperate to sell.

Supply and demand....If suckers like me wouldn't pay the price, the price would come down..

Like others have said, if you can have the patience to hold out just hours before the game, you will get the best deal. You either buy extremely early or extremely late to get the best prices. I remember going to FedEx and got 100 level tickets in the 5th row or so (Sean Lee and Dez Bryant's first regular season game) for like $150 each. I bought them in late spring/early summer and had to wait a few months for the tickets to even arrive.
I'd really recommend for the best deal, endzone or corner seats on whatever side Section 223 is. The cowboys warm up in this end zone, so you get the best chance for good pictures and seeing the players up close. The face value in these sections is under $100, so you can typically get them for $150-350. The sideline seats are club seats for the 100 and 200 level, and the face value on those tickets are around $300, so you can expect prices to start there. There are no bad seats in the house, especially with the big screens. Even the end zone jumbotrons are enormous for as far away from them as you sit.

Best of luck on your ticket purchase.
