I should know this.

But I don't.

If a player is placed on IR, of course it is for the entire remainder of the 16 game regular season.

But are playoff games included?

That's a good question. I'm pretty sure the playoffs are included. Not 100% on it, but I'm pretty sure.

Yeah, I think so too, Rack. They also say IR "ends a player's season", but they never say it ends his post season.

I empathize with all those who feel they can't survive the wait to see Henson if it's not until next summer.

I don't think I can make it to August to see Terry play again. Not to mention Woody.

Torture.

Agreed.

If a player gets hurt in pre-season and goes on IR in pre-season....he can not come back in regular season.

I think it applies to the whole season (including pre, reg and post season).

I do not ever recall hearing a player being placed on IR early in the season and then being healthy and allowed to come back to play in the playoffs or superbowl.

What about Rod Woodson back in 1995? He blew out his knee when Barry Sanders put a move on him in the first game of that season. I don't know if the Steelers put him on IR. I thought they did because it was pretty serious. He didn't come back until the playoffs and played in the Superbowl against Dallas.

Yeah I know what you mean. I was thinking though, that it would be nice if we could get TG or DC back for the playoffs, if we make it. That would REALLY give us a spark. We're missing TG right now. It's really hurting Keyshawn's game too. Hopefully Morgan can make enough big plays to open things up for KJ and JW.
