I think he'll play for us for another 3 years(including this year)... So my question is do you guys think he retires as a cowboy or a falcon??? Now remember what he said about his old team after we crushed them.

How would he retire as a Falcon? They aren't going to bring him back.

No way he plays for us for another 3 years and the falcons would bring him back to let him retire.

He will be 35 in October.

I think we have a awful lot of good talent pushing him, so I don't see him being a factor for three more years. I don't think he'll end up retiring here, so when it's all said and done, I'm guessing his fonder memories will be as a bird.

I don't see Brookings here after this year, especially if the cowboys win the superbowl. I think he'll sign a one day contract with Atlanta and retire as a Falcon

Look at zach thomas

Thomas played one (very uninspired) year as a Cowboy.

If we were to win a title with Brooking in a starting role, and he managed to stick around for another year after this one, I think it would make his decision a lot more difficult. I'd love to see him become a "Cowboy at heart" so to speak. Hell, bring him on as a coach if he's willing and has a knack for it....

I think he retires as a Falcon, too. And he won't play here 3 more years. In fact this is likely his last year here as a player.

Most players don't go back and sign with their original teams so they can retire with that team. Most just retire under whatever contract they are currently in or when their last contract expires. Generally speaking only the most outstanding of players who's names are permanently linked with a certain team sign the one day contract to retire with their original team. Brooking has been a quality player and had a quality career, but I don't see him having that same kind of indelible link with the Falcons that Emmitt had with the Cowboys, or Rice had with the 49ers.

I would think he would retire as a Falcon. Brooking played his entire football career in Georgia from High School to Georgia Tech to the Falcons. I fully epect him to retire as a member of the Falcons.

I think he will definitely retire a Falcon and I give him one more year here.

I didn't realize this. This makes it a little more likely he will retire as a Falcon.

Plus I think it's pretty iffy that he plays for Dallas another 3 years. The shorter his time in Dallas, the more likely he is to retire a Falcon.

I'm not sure how long he plans on playing. I know when you get to that age it is all based on 1 season at a time. If he continues to play at his currently level and avoids injury I'd be more than happy to have him return.

Funny that Dallas is the 1st place he has played that was outside the state of Georgia.

We can buy him a house in East Texas if he misses the Georgia humidity.

As Dorthy said "There's no place like home" Hell the girl lived in Kansas I would think Georgia has more going for it. :laugh2:

The only time I spent much time in Kansas my thought was the entire state smells like a feed lot.
