Question About Keyshawn Release

Sorry to sound so late to the party but why exactly was Key released? Are we planning to draft a young WR high (which I'm hoping for BTW)? Was Keyshawn's cap hit going to limit us tremendously? Too much of a clash with both volatile personalities in Key and T.O.? His age?

The reason why I ask is because Key was such a great posession receiver for us. Would Key/Glenn/T.O. not have been a great combo? I kind of understand why he was released but I wanted to understand other perspectives. Thoughts comments..?? Apologies once again for somewhat of a "late" question.
