Question about last nights game

Greg Ellis got some great pressure on Brunell. There was a flag thrown for holding by Jansen (I think). There was also a def. holding penalty on us in the secondary. At worse they should have been off setting penalties. The ref said that since Ellis beat the hold that they wouldn't call it.

Since when does that have anything to do with calling the penalty, just because the guy commiting it was terrible at it.

By this reasoning the "Crack back" block that TO threw shouldn't be called because the guy he tried to block jumped over him.

Someone needs to explain that call to me with something other than, "The refs suck."

I thought it was funny when they threw the flag on Jansen for holding while he was trying to Elock Ellis, but it was picked up because Jansen whiffed on the hold attempt.

Translation: The Skins can't even cheat right

Yeah, that's one play I can't wait to go back and look at. Someone in another thread said that there didn't look to be a holding penalty at all and the ref just screwed up with his reasoning.
