Question about Miles

Who was that after the KC game that said Miles would never put his spin move on an elite DB like he was doing in that game? (You know, like that move he made today against that Asante guy down the sideline.)

But seriously, Forget comparing him to RW11. At least 2 of his catches tonight were incredible for any starting NFL receiver. The catch were he caught the ball after beating Samuel, on a slant with the LB bearing down on him was so clutch.
What a threat that guy has become and the worst part of that (for everyone else) is Romo loves to throw to him and they will only get better and better.

This is with an injured hand...
Oh, which reminds me JG that screen pass to Miles that is designed to cut back up the middle where Austin gets hit by all the 300lbs.+ linemen and the linebackers, can we plz let Hurd or Ogletree do that? Thanks!

Wade said something to the effect of nobody makes those catches in his post game. It is really odd how good he's become.

This is from K.C. Joyner a few days ago (per Blogging the Boys):

I've probably graded about a dozen Cowboys games. I'd still like to see more of Austin. I guess I still have some questions about him. When he faces mediocre corners he's not just good, he destroys them. He's been solid against top corners, but I'd like to see more of his matchups against top competition. The Raiders have not been matching Nnamdi Asomugha up against number one corners this year for some reason, and he didn't match up against Austin when Oakland played Dallas.

I'll give you a name Austin resembles to me. I had the same questions about Vincent Jackson a year or two ago. Great against lesser corners and okay against the top guys. Now, he beats everybody. If Miles Austin follows the same developmental curve, that's good for Dallas.

Well yeah if a 25 year old Austin continues to improve on a 1300 yard season I think that'd be something to get excited about. :)

He and Romo are already thinking alike at game speed, you know it will only get better.

Aikman to Irvin was a passing duo feared and hated in the 90s. Now every sign is showing that Romo to Austin could be the battle cry in this new decade.

Joyner is wrong he did burn Asomugha. I know he didn't match up all game, but Austin did burn him.

Only problem with the assessment from that guy is that he did burn Asumwhatshisname for a huge play in that Oakland game, even if those two didn't go up against each other for a large chunk of the game.

This could be true. Man this team is very exciting given some good players at key positions who are still pretty darn young.

The only thing I don't like about Austin is how he reacts like he won the Super Bowl after practically every catch...........................Other then that I love the guy!!

Michael Irvin did the same thing... I can't get mad at guys making huge plays on the field. Austin wanted to prove something Sunday and he did just that.
