Question about NGOs, taxes and billionaires; not trying to make this political at all

taxes should be simple.

it should be as close to 0% as possible for everyone.

Then the rich would be even richer. The poor save a few thousand bucks to buy a few extra pairs of jeans and an X-Box while the rich save a few billion bucks to further their power over the nation.

ya, mark zuckerberg and bill gates vowing to donate all their wealth to charity is some huge pot of power I tell ya!

What about massive campaign donations? To say that people with greater wealth don't have considerably more power is a bit disingenuous. I'm not saying that they should or shouldn't have more power, but they clearly do.

Additionally, taxes are necessary for roads, school systems, national defense, etc etc etc.

Campaign donations are limited to a VERY small amount.

Now, if you're talking Super Pac's, entirely different story. Pac's cant even talk to or work in conjunction with a candidate or campaign.

So far in the 2016 election funding, 158 families have contributed $176 million dollars total - and not to get into this too much politically, but there are loopholes around PACs and the "ban" on coordination with candidates/campaigns that have been used.
