Now that the Tuna is gone, I expect Jerry the GM to get loose in the draft room. SO, what can we get for our two 6th round and three 7th round picks? Will they be used in combination to move up in some way shape or form? I would assume so............

We have 10 draft picks. I suspect we will use all 10 of them.

Don't think so. Jeff Ireland will make good use of them, I expect. The late picks are his specialty.

When you figure 6th round picks are only worth about an average 22 pts, and 7th rounders are an average of 9...they are not worth a lot to move up. They may help you move one to three spots in the 4th round to target someone, but as a total we are better off trying to find some gems, especially from Div II schools.

Not a bad idea to target kick returners, and olineman.

5 picks in the last 2 rounds could be gold if we pick wisely. NO took their big rookie WR in the 7th round last year and look what he did. If we reach for players, best we do it late and not in the 4th round like we did last year.

I also wouldn't be surprised to see us use at least 1 or maybe 2 picks to move up in rounds 4 or 5 to grab a player we didn't expect to be there. There are a lot of players who expected to be drafted by the 3rd round but slip to the 4thor even the 5th.

In Jeff Ireland, I trust. Luckily, I think Jerry does too.
