Question about Price...

Price doesn't matter, we're not planning on throwing the ball downfield until we're about to lose in the 4th quarter anway.
Heck, Crayton gets 1 ball the other day? That's pathetic. Witten should've have about 9 catches. Glenn finally gets catches when we're desperate. We might as well have A-Train banging his head against the LoS for the first 3 quarters and save the wear and tear on JJ.
At least Glenn isn't going to get hurt this year since he doesn't have to play until the 4th quarter cuz that's the only time we throw the ball downfield.

Has anybody heard anything from Price about not playing? I was under the impression that there were a number of teams pursuing him and he chose to play for us. I am pretty sure that Parcells didn't tell him that we were going to sign him as "insurance" and that he would be inactive or ignored until someone gets hurt. I would think that he has to fairly agitated that he signed and it appears that he will not play much at all. I know it is a little different but didn't Fujita sign around the same time and I am pretty sure he is getting some decent playing time. One would think that Parcells has to get him in some playing time soon or he might become a cancer.

I understand that and I don't really have a problem with it except for I can't deny hoping that the guy can re-live his glory days and be a factor for us.

My question was whether Price was irritated with not playing, because I guarantee that Parcells and/or Jerry did not recruit Price by posing the above question to him.

Cooper had 6-7 snaps as a wr this week,is he better then price??In his press conference today the media asked the same ??..OL Bill gave a great answer on why we signed him and his playing time. I dont know!!!!!! Thanks coach,great answer

Guys you have to understand. That some guys like Junk there doesn't understand the theory of creating mismatches and such. He thinks just because we do have 3 good wide recievers on our team there is no room for another one. if we would attack more on offense we could see what he brings us, but we all see how that has been so far.

I understand the theory of creating mismatches. I also understand that if a guy is just an average receiver, he probably isn't going to create a lot of matchup problems. I am not even that entralled with the team's current WRs. I think its a position that needs addressed actually.

If going 4 wide put your four best players on the field, do it. In this case, it doesn't. Price isn't better than Key, Glenn, Witten or Crayton.

The numbers don't lie. Whoever said that is right. He went over 1000 once in a 7 year career. That isn't a top flight reciever that teams game plan around. Thats an average guy. Sure, he improved every year, but not enough to consider him some sort of superstar.

I am all for him finding a role and contributing. I just don't know that he is going to do it.

What if the Packers(or another team) are calling for a trade? There are only 4 other wr's on this roster. Are there any other WR's worth mentioning still on the free agent market? Also lets say that Price would be okay with a trade to get some playing time, what is his trade value??

I take Julius out, go to the shotgun and tell the oline to block and heave the ball as far down field as I can. With Glenn, Crayton and Price deep and Key and Witten short-mid, someone somewhere has to be open.

As a matter of fact, the first 3 plays from scrimage against the Eagles this week should be throws over 30 yards. Losen 'em up early and often. Then we can get JJ going.
