Question about seating in the stadium for those who go to the games

Been a Cowboys fan my whole life and I'm using a massive chunk of my college graduation money to finally come down from Philly to see a Cowboys game. So I have 3 questions all involving view:

1) What is the seating like at the top. The prices are obviously the cheapest there, but are you so high up you can't see the field? I don't want to just watch the big screen I want to see the field

2) How are the endzone seats? These are the Hall of Fame 140 sections

3) How are the HOF seats that are behind the Cowboys bench?

Prices are really higher then I expected but until I get hired this will be the only time I get to do this so I want to make it an awesome experience! Thanks!

High up you can still see the field and the players well. In some ways, it's an advantage because it's easier to see plays develop vs. being in the lowest rows. But unless you have great vision, you're going to have difficulty picking out player numbers when you get real high. Bring some binoculars.

I would never buy end zone tickets. You've spent the past X number of years watching football from the sidelines. It's nigh impossible to gauge depth of field from the end zone and makes it extremely difficult to tell what's happening in a play. There's a reason those seats are cheaper and there's a reason every TV channel shows the same view -- it's the best view for watching football.

If your choice is 50 yard line, high up vs. lower level end zone, you take the 50 yard line tickets every time.

I agree with Theo that it's cool sitting high because you can see a play develop, but realistically, it's almost impossible to not watch the big screen in the middle. Because of it, I don't think there's really a bad seat in the house.

Was it to a point where you couldnt tell who was who number wise like Theo said? I mean I'll be able to tell whose who just because I know the team, I just dont want to pay to end up watching the big screen

Yeah, the thing is mesmerizing. You will watch it. You will try to force yourself not to watch it. And you will fail.

I don't really remember being able to see numbers or not, I think I could if I looked closely, but like you said, I can recognize guys without seeing their numbers...I don't think knowing whose who is really much of an issue.

If you sit high, you're going to be watching the big screen. People I think don't realize how massive and impressive it is until they see it. The thing is enormous...actually it's almost worth going just to see it :laugh2:

I'm kind of hoping I get a job out the gate so I can make this a once a year thing but it sounds like its come down to 50 yard line or upper levels. Only a mere $350 difference :laugh1: should I wait till single game tickets go up or buy off stubhub immediately?

I meant, 50 yard line in the upper levels, or as close thereto as you can afford. When you're high up, being at the 20 yard line doesn't make much difference, really.

I wouldn't sit in the 400's. The 200's and 300's are where it's at. I wish they'd just get rid if the screen. Seriously. It's not even that cool to see for me anymore.

As the one poster said, don't buy tickets now. Your options will increase and the prices will come down in August after single game tickets go on sale. Buy them from a site that guarantees the purchase--I've heard too many complaints from people who got ripped off. Stubhub and NFLTicketExchange have never let me down.

I don't like the upper sections of the stadium because you are so very high up and away from the field. I like to be between the 20s. Lower section seats are going to be expensive...very expensive depending on the opponent. To me the best trade-off of location versus price is in the lower 5 or so rows of the upper section. Shop for something in those sections first.

And if you do buy tickets in the premium lower areas always, always hold on to that ticket. You'll have to have it if you exit the area and want to reenter. They're pretty strict about that.

Oh, and you will want a to see the screen. And not just for the replays and promos. They show a lot of the cheerleaders between plays. Imagine six story high cheerleaders in Hi-Def. We're talking 20 ft high cleavage. :catty:

Thats very helpful about how much do ticket prices decrease in August? I thought Phillies tickets got expensive around here sheesh

It's hard to be patient when football is still so far away. The last week I've been scouting out airfares and hotels for next year. I hope to go to the Rams preseason game, and the Tampa and New Orleans game. Dallas has the home games on the Sunday and Thursday of Thanksgiving week, so I like to make a week of it then, plus go to the Ravens game in Baltimore.

What I'd really like to go to this year is a Conference Championship game in Dallas. I thought we'd make it in '07, but that wasn't to be. I was at the Giants playoff game we lost--ugh.

Some missinformation being posted here. Stay away from the 400's, players look like ants and your main option is to watch the jumbotron.. but what is the point? Might as well stay at home if you are going to sit that high.

100's and 200's are where it is at. I personally have seats on the first row on the field level (125 and 122) and they are out of this world good. I get to see the players up close. There are some people who are endzone snobs and don't like the end zones but they are the best deal in the whole stadium. When the plays are happing in your endzone there is no better place to be in the stadium. Also, the cheerleaders dance right in front of you in end zone.

Most of the sideline seats have a face value of $360ea... and the seat licenses are outrageous, so those seats are going to be super expensive. $720 just at face value alone. The endzone seats are anywhere from $89 to $99ea so you are much more likely to find some great seats at a good price. Depending on the game you go to an how low you are.. it would range from $300 to $800.
