Question About Something for the History Zone

My apologies for asking you here, but I wanted some feedback.

I am getting ready to edit all the threads in the History Zone to update them. I need to add three guys to the ROH thread, etc.

I was wondering if the fans here would want a thread dedicated to former players who have passed on? I don't ask to be morbid or to make anyone sad. Just wondering if you would feel it was a fitting type of information, or not.

EDIT...I am looking for at least 50 votes before I decide.

Yeah, I don't want it to sound like that. I hesitate only because I don't want people to think it is ghoulish or sad.

For example, Colin Ridgeway was murdered. That case is still unsolved.

I don't want it to cause anyone some pain.

I don't suppose there is anything wrong with it. Kind of an obscure stat especially when appied to virtually unknown players. Seems the stat would be more suited to add to a player bio than by itself.

Either way, if you want to do the work to make it happen, I see no reason to oppose it.

There is no abstain option, so i just will by just not voting.

I think an "In Their Honor" thread would be great.

Just a thought but it would be good to include a pic of the player, some personal info and info on their career and life after football, ala, wikipedia style.

Anyway, it's a great idea.

So long as it's monitored – which you guys do a really good job of – and people respect the person and don't use it as a sounding board to trash the person as a player, I think it would be appropriate.

Absolutely YES. As much info as possible in the History zone is a great idea. I personally use the History zone for my segments on a radio show I do.
