Question about the roof

Sorry if this has been asked before but.

I had the idea that for every cowboys game the roof would be open to resemble texas stadium and I noticed that it was not open for the MNF game.

Any comments?

Jerry Jones stated before the season that the roof would only be opened under certain favorable weather conditions.

apparently it had to do with the mechanism for raising the video board for the upcoming U2 concert...the roof will not be opened until after that concert, per the ticket earlier today...

I can assure you, you'd be hard-pressed to find more favorable conditions than there were at KO last night. It was cooler outside the stadium than in.

Why would you have a retractable roof if it was only going to be open all the time? Clearly it will be open sometimes and closed other times.
