QB - Romo will be 36 next year.
RB - We have McFadden and no one behind him.
WR - Pretty much useless outside of Dez.
TE - We have some decent backups but we need a legit heir to Witten.
RT - The only weak link of the O-line.
KR/PR - We need our next Dwayne Harris.
DT - We have some decent 3-techs but no true 1-tech and no elite DT.
LB - Lee can't stay healthy and McClain is inconsistent. Might need to completely rebuild our LBers.
CB - Even if we keep Byron Jones at CB, we don't much have a lot of talent there.
S - SS isn't strong, and we may also need a FS if we keep Jones at CB.
I agree, JB.
It looks like the most glaring weakness we have now is at LB, even with position flex. Lee is likely (or should be) done. RoMac is only useful as an extra interior pass rusher, and should not be resigned.
We're also one DB short. I like some of our youth, but we either need a CB or a FS, depending on what Byron does.
Of equal need, though, is WR, since it's become painfully clear that we have no #2 (or that he plays like #2 at times).
The next level of need is OL and DL. While they've had some success and we have some youth and depth, there are glaring holes at 1-tech and RT.
The vacuum behind DMac is obvious, and he should probably be the #2 anyway.
Then there's the ever-present BUQB dilemma. We currently have nothing to count on (even if Moore clears waivers), and we need to be grooming the next franchise guy.
PR-KR? Our current dude will be Lucky to be here next year; maybe the Trey Williams signing will solve that problem.
So, we're at least 7 good players away from solid.
It's gonna have to be a great offseason, and some youth are gonna need to step up.
