BP also brings in questionable free agents. Marco Rivera and Jason Ferguson were not wise choices. Rivera was a probowl guard in Green Bay, but you don't give a 10 million dollar signing bonus to a 33 year old guard. Injuries are more prevalent as you get older. Larry Allen is about the same age. You think any team would have signed him for a long term deal with a 10 million dollar bonus? Ferguson was rumored to turd out once he got paid. He underperformed at NT this year. Why else would you start a pass rushing DT at that position? La Roi is a great DT and top 3 in the leage, but a marginal NT at best. He got greedy and picked Burnett. This guy had injury problems in college. BP wanted to insert him in the starting line up now. Burnett has already had two surgeries this year. Most of us would have rather taken Khalif Barnes at LT. Rogers was his worst pick, he ignored his scouts that questioned his health and picked him. Should have taken taken Matt Shaub instead if your going to take a chance on someone with injury concerns or Nathan Vasher or even Demarrio Williams. If BP doesn't bring in Bledsoe, VT, and Keyshawn, we probaly would have been a worse team. But by starting Henson this year and having a 5-11 mark, we would have seen if he was the future or not. If we had a 5-11 record, we would definetely land Vince Young. Loosing sucks, but sometimes you have to take your lumps to rebuild. By playing Henson at the midway point last year, we probably would have lost another game and been able to draft Mike Williams as well. Look at the Bengals. By continuing to stink it up, you are able to build your core with high draft prospects. Jimmy Johnson knew this and so does Parcells. Parcells does not like losing and will continue to bring in stop caps to win now, and hurt the franchise later.
