Question for football gurus, wade said didnt practice enough on blitzes, etc in train

ok this is my question, wade said in his press conference, that he probably didnt practice enough in training camp with blitz packages etc.

did 5 man rushes, dogs, etc, in tampa bay game, but worked so much with base defense, but didnt work them enough in practice, because you dont want people to get hurt, so we didnt learn enough on those blitzes

is that because the defenders arent smart enough, or not practicing enough in training camp and how do u fix that?

You go to the game film and point out where guys made mistakes and what they need to be looking for to improve.

Warning, this is just my opinion. There, now that that is out of the way, I feel it is both. The players went into the game listening to the media bull**** about how Tampa is a sitting duck, they were hyped about the season opener, they had no film to study, and figured it would just be a gimme.

I also feel it was due to the lack of contact in training camp. Coaching staff didn't have them practicing blitzes enough, plain and simple.

The run defense wasn't bad. The tacking from all 11 players on defense was bad. Our schemes and talent is fine, it's the tackling that is suspect.
