Super Bowl IV KC lost to the Raiders both games of the Regular season.

In 1983 The Raiders lost both games to the Seattle Seahawks then won Super Bowl XVIII.

In 1995 the Cowboys were swept by the Commanders but won Super Bowl XXX.

In 2002 the Buccaneers lost twice to the Saints, then won Super Bowl XXXVII.

Then the Giants this year.
