Question for the board about Giants strategy

I thought it was pretty dumb and stupiid of the coach to kick a field goal with 20 seconds to go being down 10. I know it made it a one score (TD) game, mathematically, but you need a TD...that meant he had to do an onside kick. get it,... and do a hail mary and hope they get a TD......

..instead of going for TD...which you need regardless.... getting it is key....then, getting onside kick and kicking a long field goal... chances of getting a long field goal after recovery with few seconds left is much better than one hail mary play....

Should have either tried a long FG as soon as you get in range or commit to the TD drive.

They would have ran out of time going for the TD, it was the correct call. I think they should have kicked the FG one play earlier though.

The idea is that you can’t waste all the time going for the TD. As soon as you can get the 3, you do it so that there is enough time left to at least get a Hail Mary shot.
