If Dak were to not sign an extension and instead play on the 31 million tag do the Cowboys have enough cap space?

NO, they don't so, therefore, it is mandatory they give him a long term deal!!!:lmao2:

:muttley: Oh, the desperation is almost on red-alert status with the Dak-Zoids.....:muttley:..Soon they will be posting that Dak has walked on water.

Listen Troll if you don't have anything positive to say then take your childish behavior and go post in Eagles forum. You'll fit right in. You don't here.

$31,409,000.

Is that official? Or is that Spotrac's calculation?

Because this article seems to say they were set back in March and Dak's cap hit is actually just under $27MM. And this came out the day after the CBA was ratified by the NFLPA.

So I am curious as to why Spotrac and Over the Cap are reporting cap hits of over $31MM when Breer is claiming it's much less. I must be missing something.

It became official on April 17th. That date corresponds with the end of the Restricted Free Agent signing period, which in turn marks the calculation date for the exclusive franchise tag as per the CBA.

The values in the link you provided are Non-exclusive tender values. Dak was tagged with the Exclusive franchise tender.

I just figured it out. The number that had been floated was based on the restructures to Cousins and Big Ben but then I read that officially, those restructures came after Dallas had tagged Dak. If Big Ben and Cousins had restructured before the tag was applied to Dak, the QB franchise tag number would have been around $28MM. Bad timing, LOL.

Yep as already has been mentioned, he is already on the books.

How much cap space do we have NEXT SEASON if Dak is slated to get around 35 million lets say?

I was under the impression that it was over 100 million before all the big signings this year.

After all, if the trolls say we will be decamated, then this is at the core of the issue is it not?
