There is a claim that Joe Flacco is looking to become the first rookie QB to win 2 consecutive playoff games.

Didn't Dan Marino go to the Super Bowl as a rookie and wouldn't he have had to win at least that many to get there?

No. Marino was a rookie in 1983. He went to the Super Bowl in 1984.

He lost his first playoff game to the Seahawks.

flacco and ryan were tremendous this year.

both these rookies looked like they were 10 year veterans.

with the ravens defense.... flacco might find himself a superbowl champion.

i really like the way flacco plants his feet.

Been working at a vet clinic the last couple of months while I prepare to join the army, and I must say... Jack Russell's are the most energetic dogs on the planet.

THey've got two speeds... go and go faster.

Awesome dogs though. I want to get one one of these days.

Flacco wasn't impressive in the least, the Ravens were. He gets too much credit, and I don't see where it comes from.

20th in completion precentage at 60%
20th in yards at 2,971
20th in TD with 14
Threw more INT than 21 other QBs in the league with 12
22nd in QB rating at 80.3

Only had 5 200 yd games
Only 4 multi TD games to his 5 multi INT games.

I don't watch the Ravens at all, but I keep hearing how spectacular this guy is, and it makes no sense statistically because every single stat there is for a QB, he is terrible in. What is it he does in a game that stats don't show?

Seriously, based on his stats, why aren't people saying how wonderful Kerry Collins is? He was just as terrible this year.

He's a rookie, he's had moderately good statistics, his team went 11-5 and won their first playoff game. Peyton Manning went 3-13 as a rookie and threw a lot of INTs. Tom Brady didn't blow anyone away with great stats the year he won his first super bowl.

Mid February.

I want to be able to run a mile in 8:30 before I go in (it's required anyway). I'm getting close, but not quite there yet.

Spot on.;) I have a JR/Chihuahua mix named (not making this up) Tiki (as in Barber) and I think he only has one gear. He is wound for sound from the minute he wakes up. I'll post a pic later.

I think Flacco is in a good situation where his team could win the SB. The Ravens are not asking him to carry the entire load, they rely alot of a physcial running game and a very good defense. This is not a knock on Flacco he still needs to make plays as a QB but much like Rothlisburger when Pitt won the SB they did so with a tough running game and a defense which takes a lot of the pressure off the QB
