It's the same reason nobody has been able to list all of the completions for more than 20 yards against Roy this season.

The Roy-bashing crowd never backs up any of its claims with any evidence, only conjecture.

i like roy
i think he is a huge asset for our team
not just physically but also mentally by pumping up the D

i was at the giants game and yes... roy might have given up a pass here n there (especially the td to shockey)
but... he was all over the field that day...
he was in on EVERY play tryin to make somethn happen.


the person i went with, like many in this forum, is a roy hater of late as well
but after watchin the game in person and seeing roy runnin around on every down and not just when hes on camera, he's now a fan again
saying "i really see now why the cowboys arent letting him go"

roy will explode with the big hits come closer to play off time, write it down, he will be more effective and be a diff maker, write it down and remember

We all talk about how Roy can't cover, and bla bla bla right?

We talk about how he can't cover elite TE's one and one.

We refer to his inablity to stop every pass thrown while he's in man coverage.


So my question is,

How many CB's can stop elite WR's one on one?

how many times has henry been burned, Reeves, Newman?

Hall, Mathis, Samuels, Law, etc

To bash Roy, a SS, because he is unable to play at CB level when playing against TE's that most teams have to use 2 players to stop, to me is pure stupidty.

Is he the greatest in coverage? No

Is he better than most in the leage? Yes

He is a probowler not because the fan's want him there, but because coaches and players know the impact he has on a game. While Roy may give up plays, he makes plays as well. he is a game changer one way or another. We are 8-1, and it's not inspite of Roy.

I love these type of threads, because you will have some people come in posting on emotional drivel, and then you have . . . Adam come in and give cold hard facts that cannot be disputed. Often those people just flat out ignore them because they cannot back up their case.

much like my wife and i. when we have an argument I might as well give up as soon as it starts because I can't remember details to back me up and she remembers the smallest details.
