Question, in Yesterdays game Dallas ran a formation with Felix out wide and Barber and Choice in the back field then had Felix motion into the back field. Does anyone recall if that was a 2 TE set or 2 WR set?

Thanks, I was a bit surprised to see all 3 back there that I did not get a chance to see the rest of the formation. Granted the play did not get much but I have a feeling we will see it again with some different options off of it.

I didn't really like it, going with 3 RBs makes you a little bit too one-dimensional for my liking.

Didn't they use the same formation for a play against the Giants? I seem to remember all three being in there at one point.

I would agree if not for the fact that Jones is very good receiver. Not a play I would want to run often but clearly something that gives the defense a different look and something they may need to spend extra time working on when teams get ready to play us.

All three can catch the ball out of the backfield, but they aren't enough of a threat that the defense can't bunch and sell out on the run and recover if it's a pass.

I just don't think that formation has any big play capability.

I disagree. That formation relies on misdirection. It almost looks like the zone read except the QB can hand it to one of two guys instead of running it himself. If you catch the defense you can bust out a long run. You would not want to use it too many times a game, but every once in a while should be okay.

True but all 3 can catch but Barber and Choice do not have the speed of Felix. I just think there are things in that formation Dallas could use to their benefit and cause defense some problems. Clearly not a play you would use many times with in a game.
