Can someone post some info on how the Cowboys plan on attacking the Eagles as well as Eagles game planning against he cowboys.

Realisticly, do the Cowboys have the talent (young coaches and players)to matchup against a Andy Reids Eagles playing its best ball of the year? Romo is playing awesome but he cant do it alone.

Battle of 2 redheads. No telling how it will go

This would be my strategy:

  • On offense, have long, mechanical drives to open the game, much like we did against the Bucs. The Eagles will dial up the blitz, so we counter with the screen pass and the quick inside slant.
  • Last game, the Eagles game-planned to take Witten out of the game, and I have no doubt they will do the same thing again. We counter that by using Witten as a decoy early, having him go one way while the target WR goes another. After getting burned a few times, the Eagles will have no choice but to play honest.
  • Mix up the pass with a balanced run attack. We had the run working well in the first matchup, but we got away from it. Control the clock with long, effective drives and the Eagles defense will wear down by the second half.
  • On defense, we have to contain McCoy. A lot of his big runs came from our LB's either over-pursuing and taking themselves out of the play or not staying in their lanes and along McCoy to cut back into gaping holes. We have to play smart, disciplined football. The edge rushers need to play containment on the outside edges while the inside linebackers hold their position and cut off those lanes.
  • The CB's have to play up on the WR's and get a good jam at the line. We have to be physical and not let them get into their routes easily and quickly. Celek needs a bump at the line as well to disrupt his route with a safety playing over top.

Bottomline, keep their offense on the bench and their defense on the field and we should got out on top.

Andy Reid is the most overrated coach in the NFL...still trying to ride on Jim Johnsons coat tail, plays those pop warner gimmick plays that always fail, cannot judge talent as is evidence in his draft day reaches, worst game clock manager there is, has not won a playoff game since the Jim Johnson days and the team has deteriorated regularly since then and has just been living off those days

How many players do we have back for this game that didn't play the 1st game. Or wasn't 100%.

Romo was still wearing his protected gear, not 100%
Felix was out, but Demarco was in.
Autin was out, and I beleive Dex was banged up, not 100%
Was Jenkins still out, and Newman, I can't remember right now.
Was Spencer out too?

I like your plan Jon Jon

I have a feeling the eagirls are ready to quit

if we get up on them early, people like DJax will check out

The key will be to not let them get the lead and tee off on Romo

If we have a game plan for the Eagles, it will be the first time this year. We were woefully unprepared for the first meeting. I am tired of getting beat like a whelp by a team of all time punks like DeSean and Vick (note, to be honest the Eagles have had, especially on defense, some great talent and great players worthy of respect - just not these two uber%$(s).
