He got flagged for a hit to the head on the QB. I saw only saw the one angle and it didn't look like he hit him in the head. Can anyone confirm he did indeed hit the QB in the head? I don't remember at what point in the game it was now but It seemed like it was in the third or fourth qtr.

I did not think it was a personal foul. I thought it was a good hit on the QB as he was releasing the ball.

Seemed like a face mask to face mask hit. He didn't launch, tip his head down or hit him with the crown. It's a tough call, but definitely not malicious. Ware even helped the little guy up after the unpleasant greeting.

I thought it was a very bad call. I guess we'll see if the NFL thought it was a bad call when they hand fines out this week.

I tried to find a video of it on the net but haven't seen one yet.

BS Penalty.

I didn't realize that Ware used a spin move to deliver that hit. Wow, that was impressive.

The NFL wants patty cake football. I get protecting defenseless players but when some one like Ware has momentum how in the world could he just stop in a split second?

Ummm, I dont know what you are all watching but Ware hit Fitzpatrick's helmet pretty clearly, you could also hear it in the video.

Don't really mind the call because it was close as long as Dallas would start to get some similar calls.

And what pass rush move was Spencer trying on that play, the patty cake?

From the last angle it looks like Ware pushed him down, but their helmets did hit, so the refs have to make the call.

Especially when it's against the Cowboys (half-joking).

Haha, Spencer did patty-cake that guy pretty good. He was probably trying to setup his next rush the "irish step dance", he's just out there playing chess with the o-line, thats alll.

44-7 and crying about the refs, any doubt we have the most whiny fan base on earth can be put to rest.

gee folks. that's clearly helmet to helmet. You can argue that the rule is stupid but you can no longer hit the QB that way.

I'm not a huge fan of the rule. But it is far better than having QBs out for several weeks with concussions. This league has maybe 20 decent QBs -- those guys go out and you are watching a diluted product (see Colts, Indianapolis)

I thought it was a pretty innocent hit, but I also thought it was the kind of thing that can easily get called in today's NFL. The 2 helmets made contact, and like AbeBeta said, you may not agree with the rule, but it's still the rule.

To me it looked like Fitzpatrick whipped his head into Ware as he stepped into the throw. Ticky Tacky call but that's what you get in this era of protect the QB at all costs.
