So I always get these and read them as I find them funny that people would fall for them. I stumbled upon this one in my spam folder that has me asking how exactly does the scammer benefit from someone going to a western union and the employees saying "this transfer doesn't exist?".

Content of email:

How are you today?

I write to inform you that we have already sent you $5000.00USD through Western union
as we have been given the mandate to transfer your full compensation payment of
$1.800,000.00USD via western union by this government.

I called to give you the information through phone as internet hackers were many but i
cannot reach you yesterday even this morning. So,I decided to email you the MTCN and
sender name so that can pick up this $5000.00USD to enable us send another $5000.00USD
by tomorrow as you knows we will be sending you only $5000.00USD per day. Please pick up
this information and run to any western union in your country to pick up the
$5000.00USD and send us email back to send you another payment tomorrow.

Manager Mr Hamed Azeez
Email:[email protected]
Tel: +234-706-366-6098

call or email us once you picked up this $5000.00USD today. Here is the western union
information to pick up the $5000.00USD,

MTCN :________686 152 4897
Sender's Name:__Hamzat Malik
Text Question:___When
Answer:________Now
Amount Sent____$5000.00USD
City:__________Abuja
Country:_______Nigeria

I am waiting for your call once you pick up $5000.00USD,

Thanks
Mrs Fatimat Hasan.

I get those from time to time and wonder if anyone ever really falls for it

Why do they even put they are from Nigeria?

:lmao2:

If you're going to set up a scam, at least choose a place that isn't notorious for being the home of scams.

I get similar things all the time. Especially from people on Craigslist. I always respond with "Has anyone ever fallen for this?"

I've never gotten a response.

FYI: By you responding you only validate that there is someone at that email address and they will then forward that email address on to other spam sources noting that there is a live person on this one.

Never reply to any spam.

Just food for thought.

You would be amazed at the blatant spam sourcines from Nigeria and the shadiness that goes on from that country as far as the internet goes.

Basically all internet cafe's are packed with 10000 Nigerian Al Capones.

No lie its why so many people/countries etc no longer do E-business with Nigera.

It's good stuff, I just couldn't make it all the way through. I especially love the pictures of Nyles Crane as "him". Bwahahaha. He even through in the dad.
