Question - Trade Advantages

I was listening to the Day 3 Press Conference and Jerry mentioned an opportunity to trade down 10-12 picks for "advantages" and not picks in later rounds. Can anyone explain what he meant by that?

Most likely trading multiple picks where the number of picks on each side is even. Something like a swap of Dallas' fourth and seventh for some other team's fourth and fifth. Technically you're not gaining a pick, just an advantage.
