Question...Why do so many of you post sports writers comments?

The writers may not know squat, but they still have access to info that we don't have regardless of the knowledge of the game.. I am thankful for this site for all the daily news articles and video clips..

:hammer:

Writing a sports article is no different than writing about politics – both are polarizing topics because readers have different opinions. As a former journalist, I know, for a fact, that journalists have access to information that John Q Public doesn't.

The best thing to do is separate news from opinion. If you know what you are reading, that might help determine your reaction.

I don't post often here at the Zone but I do enjoying dropping in from time to time to read what my fellow Boys fans have to say.

However, I am unable to comprehend why so many of you choose to post anything these so-called sports writers have to say.

I'll admit that I, too, read what's written in the DMN because I receive the daily paper -- I like knowing stats, what went on at practice or who's hurt and will not play. What I do not do, though, is take written or verbal opinions seriously because I know that they do not have the slightest clue about real professional football. The only guys I take seriously are the ones that have actually strapped on a jock and hit someone and were paid to do so.

I apologize in advance for starting a thread some of you might find trivial. As I said, I was just curious....

BTW, will Jerra please cut Carpenter!

I think it's called living outside the box.  :)

Why wouldn't you post articles Dallas Cowboys beat writers?

What makes this message board so great is that you literally wake in the mourning and like John Madden says, "BOOM", you have a ton of articles from a variety of sources and thus, can read different viewpoints about the current state of the Cowboys.

This site wouldn't that interesting to me if posters stopped providing articles from local beat writers.

Besides, I don't think the local media is a bad as people make them out to be. They are probably no better or worse then any other beat writer in another market.

Daily paper ... what’s that?

Ooh ooh I know...

Its that business where they inflate their daily sales numbers to show that they are still a profitable business.
