If Julio Jones, Robert Quinn, Prince Amukamara are there at 9 and nobody calls to trade. Who do you pick?

Tough call but I would take Quinn as a replacement for Anthony Spencer at OLB who's been a disappointment.

With Quinn's pass rushing ability and having Ware on the opposite side this could be the one two punch the Cowboys have been looking for at OLB. Not many things improve a defense more than wrecking havoc on the QB.

We won't go OLB, so Quinn and Miller are almost out of the equation.

Prince.

I dont think you can rule anybody out. The types of defensive looks Ryan will be throwing out the more passrushers you have the better. And remember Spencer is due to be a FA next yr.

I wouldn't rule Quinn out if he falls to #9 he's a fierce edge rusher. The Cowboys would have to strongly consider him at #9 with the way Spencer regressed last season. The Cowboys could then trade Spencer for a decent pick in next years draft once we have a new CBA.

Quinn. Spencer can play out his contract year and Quinn can spot play in pass rush situations while learning the ropes and getting back into football form. Then next year Quinn starts.

I'm willing to bet anything the Cowboys take Prince 10 out of 10 times if it's between he and Quinn.

Pass rush trumps pass coverage. I think it might come down to whether Ryan and company think Spencer can turn the corner and be a real pass rush threat. If they have serious doubts they Take Quinn. If they think he can do it they take Prince.

Jones last for sure. He should be great but we Austin and Bryant and he's not a slot guy.

I say Prince, then Quinn.

Not really sure how anyone could rule it out. There's alot of good 3-4 OLB's in this draft and Spencer is in the last yr of his deal, and coming off a lousy season. If Ryan and the new coaches watch all his tape and decide they cant salvage him, OLB becomes a pretty significant area of concern. I kinda doubt they'd see Butler or Williams as much more than role players.

I dont see OLB as any less of a need than CB. To me its even more of a glaring need because the lack of a consistent pass rush by anyone other than Ware is what derailed the defense.

Ok. That, I can agree with. I was just thinking the upgrade from Ball to Amukamara would be more significant than Spencer to Quinn. But I guess it all depends on what moves are made in free agency. I actually like Spencer, though. I think Rob can make a "star" out of him.

I hope so, I really liked him till this past season, but I thought he was just awful last yr vs the run and the pass. Jenkins got alot of the grief (deserved) but Spencer was just as bad, and other than a couple games he basically no-showed the entire season.
