Questioning offensive philosophy

You say that like you're trying to convince yourself,,, is it working? I mean, the fact that they totally stamped out the running game and pressured Romo into a dozen early throws with 7 or less in the box didn't have much to do with Seattle punking the offense.

Yeah, it's working. I'm convinced of my opinion. Mostly because it's correct.

Your assessment of what happened on offense in SEA is wrong, too. There were plenty of plays to be made in SEA where the protection held up adequately and the QB put the ball on the numbers. And the balls were dropped. Or the WR didn't do what was expected by the QB. We put ourselves in a situation where we were more reliant on big plays in the passing game than we wanted to be.

We did the things that get you beat in this league, and it got us beat. But the fact is, most of the mistakes didn't have much to do with the OL or with pass protection. I know it's more fun to complain about things you guys were complaining about in the offseason, but it wasn't what caused this loss.

Maybe you'll get lucky and we'll lose a game down the road based mostly on the inability of the interior OL to pass protect and then you can ask me again about it and get the pleasure of me saying it was the OL's fault.

how many games have you looked at? just hte seattle game? just wondering how you are basing your comments

Years' worth.

PS: How do you stand living up there? I live in Harrisonburg and the Commander crap is neck-deep here.

well if you cannot admit it now I seriously doubt I'll see an admission in the future,,, unless the whole thing literally implodes,,, I guess that's what it would take :p:

That's cool though, I don't need to hear it.

and who knows, maybe Seatlle will turn out to be the greatest DL of the decade and Dallas will actually see offensive success from now forward and into the playoffs. Then I will admit it!

I don't need you to admit anything, because it won't matter. If you think we lost the SEA game because of the interior OL play, then whatever conclusions you draw from watching the game can't be all that accurate, anyway.

The point isn't to reach consensus. The point is to understand why it is we're actually losing and how to best address the problems.
