EGG;4741042 said:You say that like you're trying to convince yourself,,, is it working? I mean, the fact that they totally stamped out the running game and pressured Romo into a dozen early throws with 7 or less in the box didn't have much to do with Seattle punking the offense.![]()
Yeah, it's working. I'm convinced of my opinion. Mostly because it's correct.
Your assessment of what happened on offense in SEA is wrong, too. There were plenty of plays to be made in SEA where the protection held up adequately and the QB put the ball on the numbers. And the balls were dropped. Or the WR didn't do what was expected by the QB. We put ourselves in a situation where we were more reliant on big plays in the passing game than we wanted to be.
We did the things that get you beat in this league, and it got us beat. But the fact is, most of the mistakes didn't have much to do with the OL or with pass protection. I know it's more fun to complain about things you guys were complaining about in the offseason, but it wasn't what caused this loss.
Maybe you'll get lucky and we'll lose a game down the road based mostly on the inability of the interior OL to pass protect and then you can ask me again about it and get the pleasure of me saying it was the OL's fault.
