QB Romo coming off back surgery, do we draft a QB early
RB Murray tore it up this year but can he be counted on to stay healthy or do you draft another RB, also Dunbar coming back from a major injury. Do we go after a FB too?
WR Austin almost certainly will be cut or retained with a pay cut but even so is no where near the player he was 5 years ago. Is Twill the answer to the number 2 spot? I think yes, but its not a strong yes
TE Maybe the only spot that doesn't have an questions other than can Escobar strengthen up to be counted on to play every down
Offensive line Smith is elite, Leary is solid but knee situation is scary, Fredrick is on his way to being a very good player in this league, Berny played very well this year but he is a free agent and I would be hesitant to give him anything more than a year or two, Free came back big this year. I think we need to address the guard spot still with a high draft pick but problem is we have so many needs on defense that I think we can't afford to draft a lineman too early
Defensive line What a mess.......I think Ware still has a lot left but I don't think he should be counted on to play the whole game. I think he should be in maybe 70% of the plays. Hatcher is a free agent and I would not give him a big contact at the age of 32. If you want to keep him and get good production out of him for one more year than franchise him....it is the perfect move with him cause it also will drop his value and then you could sign him to a modest 2-3 year deal in 2015. We need to spend 3 of out top 4 picks on the defensive line. We need a DE and a DT bad. Selvie is a solid starter but I would love an upgrade. Crawford should help this unit but I don't think he is the pass rusher that everyone thinks he is. I think Crawford is a great backup and average starter at best. The rest of the backups we have right now are nothing special including Hayden.
Linebacker is a mess too. We have great talent but injuries and lack of desire kill this unit. Can Lee ever stay healthy and just how bad is his neck injury? Can anyone light a fire under Carters butt? What position is best for Carter? Holloman looks like the real deal and I am excited to see him play more and I think he starts. Backups are ok. Can this unit every stay healthy and come together?
Corners while many don't care for Claiborne I for one think he is a very good player. I think he needs to be utilized more man to man press and play his game. Hopefully he can stay healthy too. Same goes for Carr that he isn't in the right system now and I think they need to let him play his game. Scandrick is starting to ball out, just wish he could catch the dam ball, he has the worst hands in the secondary. I don't think we need to waste a pick on this spot.
Saftey position is very shaky. I like Church but he is limited. I alway liked how Church would always make the tackle but late in the year he whiffed at a lot of tackles and his coverage is limited. The right coach could get the best out of him but if not he is average at best. Can Wilcox take his game to the next level cause out of all the safeties I am most excited to see him. He looked good early but his game seemed to drop since he came back from the injury and couldn't really pass Heath(who sucks) on the depth chart. After Church and Wilcox there is nobody even worth mentioning and we need a starter either through the draft or free agency.
Last but not least Dan Bailey is a restricted FA and will get interest from another team and it will be interesting to see what Dallas does as far as trying to keep him.
