1st. If anyone watched the DFW sports beat show monday night, you saw some clips of bradie james stating that he was surprised that when our defense walked up to the line of scrimmage, pretty much of the time, Chargers offense knew our signals.
Was that due to linebacker burnett giving stuff away since burnett used to play for us or is that due to the cowboys using a simple base defense, and its all on tape now for teams to see? Or is our coaching staff not preparing the players enough on new schemes etc to throw offenses off?

2nd, If you remember when ware went out, 3rd and 12 down and distance, rivers hit us on a deep pass. Newman stated that he was suppose to jam the CB but he didnt. Is this due to the fact, that the cowboys coaches dont realize that when you tell Newman this is your guy like in the carolina game. Newman did that, but when we dont put pressure on newman and he continues to slide in and out of coverage when there is no accountability on players and coaches? Remember, barber still doesnt answer to his fumbles etc and last week he didnt say why he didnt get the TD at the goal line.

3rd. Several people have posted that the coaching staff wants the offensive linemen to block in zone blocking, but thats not their strength due to the immense size and girth of them. If you remember in the jerry jones interview yesterday, jerry jones said that the cowboys used 3 different schemes in finese blocking at the goal line when barber tried to get the TD. Jerry Jones said he might question the style that we used in run blocking. So, why does this team continue to try to make the big huge offensive linemen block a style that isnt suited to them?

4th and final; If you remember a couple of years ago, the team threw some long deep balls to miles austin. Yet, why have we not thrown deep balls to our wideouts? Is this team trying to not lose games, but not attack either? In other words take some chances with some big plays, trick plays, etc and open the game up and put the opposing teams away?

Not sure about the others but Mike Golic was asked about other teams knowing hand signals and audibles Monday.

He said that teams generally change hand signals from game to game, so it shouldn't be an issue.

As far as knowing the plays, he said when players watch film, they are told to pay special attention to the formation and the players on the field for a given play. He said when you do this, it allows you to come to a faster conclusion as to whether it is a run or pass. He said, the faster you can figure out what type of play it is, the faster you then are able to figure out what play they will run.

Personally, I think other teams "knowing" your playbook is a little overrated.

Yes, it gives the opponent an advantage but if you mix things up and execute, you should be effective enough to win.

It's either a pass or run....just look at the OL, normally if they line up in a 4 pt stance it's a run, it they line up in a 2 pt stance or sometimes a 3 pt stance it's a pass. also you can sometimes tell if we are passing when we line up on the line and all the linemen are not fully on the line. and when we are running our line looks much tighter and closer to LOS....

That is the biggest reason. Also, it seems to me, they think they just have to show up and play...and it's their right to win without emotion, fire, intesity & urgency. It's all lacking, every game!

I saw the show.

I think it boils down to San Diego understanding the importance of film study, focus and attention to detail.

Can you give some examples of the types of things he could conceivably say that would make you more satisfied than you are about that situation?

in some form or fahion i would like to see dallas cowboys players accountable for making mistakes etc, remember a few years back when LT had to answer for his lack of production and losing etc for the chargers

till players have to fess up to things, then why should they change

so, if Bradie knew that the SD offense knew the defensive play/scheme, why wouldn't he try and change it?

If you accept the idea that they knew the defense, it ought to make you have some confidence in the team. San Diego is a high-scoring offense, and they struggled for a lot of the game.

A lot of their game plan looked like they just planned on throwing jump balls. They connected on a couple, but were fairly unsuccessful. They couldn't run the ball for jack most of the game.

Either this Dallas team is full of outstanding athletes, or the whole thing about them knowing our signals is being overblown.

Are you talking about when LT was injured?? He never answered for anything other than saying, hey I'm injured.

Players make mistakes. They all do. Do you want each of them to be bound to the post and given 20 lashes for each mistake?

Barber NEVER talks to the media. Fact. He's not going to hold a press conference just to say, hey I screwed up. It's just not going to happen.

First of all, Barber just doesn't answer anything. Not even when he was scoring TDs in bunches.

Second and for the bolded part above, he didn't score because there were SD players in the backfield with him and the OL couldn't block with a crap.

Not sure what you expected him to say.
