We seen the stats on comeback wins for QB's. 4th quarter, last 2 minutes. Romo leading since 2006.
So what counts as a comeback win. Obviously it's leading to a scoring drive. TD's count, we all know that. FG's count, but is there a separate stat for TD's and for FG's.

But here is the one that do they or do they not get credit for. Thursday night, Manning leads them to a score that ties it. There is probably a stat for that too.
But since the defense won it on the fumble recovery for a TD. Does Manning get credit for that. And if he does, should he?
If they just recoverd it on a fumble, but did not score, but kicked the FG right away, say as if 1 second left on the clock, would he get credit?

Kind of like in baseball, if the relief pitcher is credited with the win or a save.

Manning gets credit for it. As he should. Romo has a few of those games too.

The one thing they don't talk about when using this stat is games missed. Romo and Manning have the most comebacks since 2006 but have also played in about 16 less games than those they are ranked against-that is impressive.

Romo has none of those games. In every one of his fourth-quarter comebacks, he has led the game-winning drive.

The Eagles in 2012 where Dwayne Harris returned a punt, The Raiders two years ago, the Steelers Brandon Carr Int game-i'm sure there are more im forgetting.

The Pro Football Reference website has Romo with 25 4th quarter comebacks and 29 game winning drives. I'm confused :(

The game was tied when that happened: not a 4th-quarter comeback.
The Raiders two years ago
Not sure what you're referring to here. We never trailed in the 4th quarter and we had no defensive or special-teams scores.
the Steelers Brandon Carr Int game
That's one. Romo led a drive to tie the game in the 4th quarter, but the drive that won it in OT consisted of Romo taking a knee to center the ball for the FG after the INT. So it counts as a fourth-quarter comeback, but he only led the game-winning drive in the most technical and least meaningful sense.

Not a fourth-quarter comeback. We never trailed in the fourth quarter. (Also, Romo led long drives for every point we scored in the second half of that game.)

the Steelers Brandon Carr Int game.

That was in overtime. I wasn't counting it, but I guess Pro Football Reference does, for some reason.

Feel free to point them out. Here is a link to the list --

Hmm. Maybe not as many as I thought.

I still think the stat is helpful but can be taken out of context. I love Romo as much as the next guy. The only one that really stood out to me was the first one against Carolina where we won 35-14. If I remember correctly, the Panthers fumbled the opening 4th quarer kickoff, and the cowboys recovered around the 15 or20? Two or three plays later they scored.
