I was surprised too,all the talk leading upto the draft was about quick twitch explosive first step guys.I think he can play but we are not going to see it in season 1..

You gotta look at his games breakdowns. I'm not really sure what exactly this guy is seeing.

Taco did go beat up on Florida State. When he anticipates the snap count his first step and burst is very good. For a 6'6 guy he has "bend" and he already has some pass rush moves like his spin move.

He's tall and needs to gain leverage better. Most of the time that's why he'd be washed out. He's slow off the ball sometimes, but I'm not sure how much of that is a DE option read. He can also gain some strength.

If he can get off the ball quicker, and learn to win the leverage battle, which are like two of the main things Marinelli focuses on, he's going to be a very good NFL DE. When he anticipated the count and was quick off the ball, he won a ton.

Awuzie is really good and Switzer is going to catch a ton of balls.
