Quick mock of the day, with trade down in the 2nd, to a late second adding a 4th and a 7th.

1. Sheldon Richardson DT Missouri 6'2" 294lbs
Should be great as our 3tech.

2. Menelik Watson OT 6'5" 310lbs
Offseason surgery on injured shoulder, sounds about right.

3. Maliciah Goodman DE 6'4" 276lbs
Should be great on the strongside.

4a. Zaviar Gooden OLB 6'1" 234lbs
Fast, athletic. Has potential and we may have the coaching to tap it out. Played WLB so should provide adequate depth while also putting work to challenge at the SAM position.

4b. Alvin Bailey OG 6'3" 312lbs
Good value here and should challenge for spot. Fits the system.

5. Josh Boyce WR 5'11" 206lbs
My favorite WR this year. Can work as deep threat, in the return game. Played outside in college, although probably fits more of a slot, but has versatility. And runs G\great routes. Smart player.

6. Earl Wolff SS 5'11" 209 lbs
Possesses all the measureables necessary to succeed at the next level while also being productive in college.

7. George Winn RB 5'10" 218lbs
An underrated back with good size and great burst on the field. Can find a hole and blast through it. Only timed 4.60s, but on field play much faster.

Love the Richardson, Bailey, and Boyce picks.. Problem with this mock is that I think it addresses the S and RB positions too late.. I think taking a LB in this draft in the top 5 rounds is a mistake.. Gotta see what Albright and Wilbur can do first.. With Carter and Lee being 2 of our 3 at the LB spot I think we will be above average regardless.

I think I would replace your Goodman and Gooden picks with some kind of RB/S combo weather its Swearinger and then Christine Michael or Andre Ellington and then JJ Wilcox

Very good mock.

My only issue is with Richardson. He would be a perfect fit at the 3-tech and is a great player; however, he has some character issues. IMO, if his character issues check out, then he will be long gone by #18. If the character issues don't check out, then the Cowboys won't draft him.

2. Menelik Watson OT 6'5" 310lbs
I really like this player. His combine was disappointing, but he looks really quick and strong on the field. I think he could also play OG if needed.

3. Maliciah Goodman DE 6'4" 276lbs
I really like this player as a Strong-Side DE in Kiffin's scheme. (Arm: 36-3/8", Hand: 11").

4a. Zaviar Gooden OLB 6'1" 234lbs
Perfect LB for a Kiffin defense.

4b. Alvin Bailey OG 6'3" 312lbs
I'll would just echo exactly what you said: "Good value here and should challenge for spot. Fits the system".

5. Josh Boyce WR 5'11" 206lbs
Good pick here. Ran a 4.38 forty.

From NFLDS: "Boyce leaves TCU as the all-time school leader in touchdown catches (22), second all-time in receiving yards (2,535) and third all-time in receptions (161)".

6. Earl Wolff SS 5'11" 209 lbs
Terrific measurables.

7. George Winn RB 5'10" 218lbs
I'm OK with an RB this size running a 4.6 forty; however, I see him listed as 4.75.

I agree with the safety thing. I personally think safety in the 2nd is where I would go. A late second in a trade down should be perfect for a guy like Phillip Thomas. I just did this to make light of some other players people may have not heard of, cause you can never predict what positions we'll go. We only know, 1st round grade with injury in the second, small schooler in the 4th. lol

RB I am pretty content on getting in the 5th or later. LB should be okay, but I feel Wilber may back up ware at the WDE position. I like Albright and Lemon for some depth. I think the boys should add two LBers. One in the draft one in FA for the SAM position.

You know I keep forgetting about Richardson and his off the field problems. With that being said, if I were GM or coach, I'd def take him if was there at 18. As far RB goes, there are other options in the 7th and 6th. I chose Winn because he is good football player, who produced in both yardage and tds. He can block, but probably needs a little work in the receiving game. He never ever stops moving his feet, keeping the pile moving, and has a pretty good burst getting into the second level. He also does a good job making people miss in short spaces. As far as the 40 I think he probably runs more 4.6 naturally with the ball then on the track. I think a lot of players don't run correctly when they get timed. With that being said it's all about, pick your flavor, when it comes to this position.
