No analysis yet, put it together during a GM mock for a draft site. Just wanted to get some opinions while I work on the write up.

Round 1: Melvin Ingram | OLB | South Carolina
Round 2: Kevin Zeitler | OG | Wisconsin
Round 3: Casey Hayward | CB | Vanderbilt
Round 4: Trenton Robinson | FS | Michigan St
Round 5: Chandler Harnish | QB | Northern Illinois
Round 6: Jeff Adams | OT | Columbia
Round 6: Drake Dunsmore | FB/TE | Northwestern
Round 7: Devon Wylie | WR | Fresno St

The only pick I don't like is Trenton Robinson. I've seen him get run over a few times this year, and he doesn't seem overly fast either. I think I would prefer Aaron Henry or George Iloka. Other than that, very good.

He's built like a CB and has extremely long arms. I like his ball skills obviously, 8 picks over the last 2 years, but your right, while he is not afraid to stick his nose in there it's usually not pretty.

Odds are he will be drafted by a zone team and tried at CB.

I debated this pick for a while but was stuck with several options that just did not get me excited.

Like the 2nd and 3rd pick but I think we can do better than Ingram in the 1st.

What do you know about this guy besides the fact he is smart?

Probably one of the most athletic OT's in this draft. Also received a Basketball offer from Columbia.

Plays with good leverage but needs work on body placement

Will need a year or two to develop in a NFL weight room. Has a great base but lacks the initial punch when engaging.

Has the frame to add weight with out losing mobility.

A good finisher but will tends to get sloppy late in games.

Has good hips and can get out in space.

Efficient at the 2nd level although he tends to lock and shield.

Developmental prospect who can also long snap and is athletic enough to play a roll on special teams.

OG Kevin Zeiler looked really good last night. I think Jerry and Jason should continue to improve the offensive line. I think we could take our offence to a new level with the likes of Murray and an improved OL. Any word on C Pete Konz? Do you think he will slide because of his injury?

I hadn't paid any attention to Ingram, but he sure looks like a stud. He's 6-4 and almost 280. I think he's mostly being regarded as a 4-3 DE, but just from his stats and history he seems to be the type of athlete who can move to OLB in a 3-4. Here's some of his stuff:

Led team with 9 sacks as a rotational player his junior year, had 11 TFL and a FF. Had some injury issues this year, but still compiled 8.5 sacks, 13.5 TFL, 2 INT's and 6 PBU's. He has three TD's on the season: two fumble recovery/returns and one 68-yard run on a fake punt.

My love of Zeitler is documented.

Hayward isn't getting the love from most mocksters that his production says he deserves, but I like him a lot. The combine will determine a lot for him. I think he could sneak into round one.

My cats are both vastly underrated safeties with big-time production at the position: Matt Daniels and Tramain Thomas. So I have no tolerance for lesser players. :D

After thinking about it, while I like the potential of drafting a 3-4 OLB in the 1st round, I've got to believe that if Spencer is resigned then it probably won't happen.

I'd like to see what potentially there, i.e. 25th pick or so, when it comes to a 3-4 DE.

Good.

Round 1: Melvin Ingram | OLB | South Carolina
Intriging Player. Might be the perfect SOLB.

Round 2: Kevin Zeitler | OG | Wisconsin
Should be ready to play day one. Might have limited upside.

Round 3: Casey Hayward | CB | Vanderbilt
Good value at the end of the 3rd.

Round 4: Trenton Robinson | FS | Michigan St
A safety with high upside in coverage that is a willing but not good tackler. I'll take that in the 4th, no problem.

Round 5: Chandler Harnish | QB | Northern Illinois
I like it.

Round 6: Jeff Adams | OT | Columbia
Yes, Interior OL early and developmental OT late. This is the best senerio.

Round 6: Drake Dunsmore | FB/TE | Northwestern
If Fiammetta is done, then might take FB even earlier.

Round 7: Devon Wylie | WR | Fresno St
Finally get a punt returner. Can he develop into a slot WR?

I could live with this draft IF there is no shot a DeCastro and Konz medical is determined too high or he does not declare.

The only thing missing is an ILB. Only 3 ILBs on the current roster project to be here next year.

I agree 100%, right now I'm operating under the assumption that Spencer is going to price his way out of Dallas. I really do believe that round 1 pick will be spent on the defensive side of the ball and Dallas showed heavy interest in several defensive lineman last year so I have no reason to believe a DE or NT should be ruled out.

It was on my mind the whole time, I just never found the perfect match but I think your right, it will be addressed.

From what I gather Konz has taken a bit of a slide in recent weeks. I suspect that will continue as we get to the medical portion of the draft process and I dont expect his work out numbers to be off the chart. I would not at all be surprised to see him settle into the mid to late part of round 2 at which point I'm still not comfortable with the pick.

I know it's not a popular opinion around here but I don't touch him before the 3rd. His upside is limited, he's not that athletic and has a medical flag.

I spent a lot of time on Ingram the last few weeks and as productive as he has been you can still tell he is raw. He has amazing upside. He is kind of all over the board right now from mid 1st to early 2nd but once he posts his numbers and people get a chance to talk to him and see his passion and how well spoken he is in interviews I would not at all be surprised to see him settle into the mid part of round 1.

As far as Hayward, aside from some small character red flags I can't see why he continues to be over looked. He has everything you are looking for in a CB and his numbers rank up their or are better then most of the top CB's in this class.

Thanks S. Nice write up. Intriguing guy, should have no problem learning the playbook.

Not to mention, he played in the SEC.
