You won't find a more dependable leader. Had he stayed in one offense while here he would have been a pro bowler.

Yep, Q was so good he was 4th string in Canada....sure have been a lot of good coaches fooled about his supreme talent and leadership ability...

There should be a rule against starting a Quincy Carter thread, one is a warning, two is lifetime banishment....

If Quincy is in the same offense his entire stay here he's a pro bowler and one heck of a leader.

Oh, and forget about the wobbly balls and the bad snap exchanges. Those things iron out and nobody has to be perfect.

I don"t know why you started this thread, you know there is a lot of haters in this forum for whatever reason they hated Quincy.

Anyway you what you posted is true. If Carter had been able to come back in 2004 we would have been in the playoffs that season went deeper if not won the whole thing. Once he was released I predicted that we would go 5-11 or 6-10, and what happened, we did just that.

All Carter needed was stability he had been changing offenses since his first season in college. Once he got here he had no mentor, no one to help him learn the NFL, plus he had his own personal demons he could not deal with, but if he would have felt that he had support he may have defeated those personal demons sooner. He always had these washed up baseball players coming in getting more support than he received. Yes, Carter played baseball, there was a difference, Carter played baseball right out of High School, and then went to college to have a decent career, the other two guys left college after 1 or 2 yrs, and then tried coming back to football at the highest level, which is a no no, as they found out and so did we.

But people want to clump Quincy in with those two guys, he had a completely different route to the NFL.

If we had kept Quincy, our QB situation would have been solved, we would be working our third straight playoff appearance this season.
But saying that if we had kept Carter we would not have had the chance to see Romo, so it all worked out.

Now to answer your question Romo or Carter, if Carter had still been here in the same offense, I would take Carter. But in my opinion you could not go wrong with either choice.
