Reverses? We didn't defend reverses well? That's what he thinks the problem is? No Dan, sorry but your defense has been figured out. Clueless.

As bad as Joseph was/is, Barr is far worse. I mean get real - these coaches had him out in coverage!?!?!?! He can't get out of his own way. If I can see that on the couch you don't think other teams are seeing it?

Huge liability. I would actually cut him. Zero value.
Im thinking Jabril Cox must have dated/broken up with Dan Quinns daughter. There's NO OTHER REASON why he's not on the field replacing Anthony Barr on passing downs. Barr played like a 3 legged dog. Brutal

No, that can't be. Barr is the guy the LVE hater insisted should replace Leighton.

I wonder if there is a reason the Jags ran those reverses to the same side.

I know I was surprised by how much man Quinn kept playing during the game.

Teams that excel in Misdirections and have mobile running QBs has continued to plague this defense.
And that's to add to the run defense that still has it's issues.

- i dunno if it's just an undisciplined defense, or one that is so built on movement-speed
that lacks physicality overall.

- What is becoming very mysterious, puzzling and is the lack of pass rush.
i can see Parsons injuries and wear & tear toll maybe slowing him down, but what about the rotation guys like Williams and Fowler ?

- Where's Dlaw and Osa ?.... 1 sack in the last two games ?

It should be, the Jags screwed up plenty and they couldn't get stops.

Quinn's defense has provided the pass rush .... turnovers .. and he's tried to add size in Hankins, Bohanna, but in terms of a very physical, disciplined,
sure tackling defense, it's still lacking .. and opposing teams that are best equipped to do so, know how they can best attack it.

We may see this defense at the top of several categories but it doesn't tell the tale with the glaring flaws and holes.
And there may be signs and glimpses that this unit maybe showing signs of wear & tear and mediocre depth help. (see RCB, LB)

Most of the season, the pass rush helped the 2ndary, but I think the 2ndary helped the pass rush more.

The losses of Lewis & Brown have had a big impact... mostly because Joseph has been unreliable.

A pass rush that can't disrupt the QB is worthless. I have no idea how they can adjust other than facing QBs with a longer throwing motion and a slower release.

This is nothing new. This team has been owned on reverses and misdirection for years. Sam Williams got schooled on that second one. D Law actually recognized the reverse early enough but was blocked just enough (borderline in the back) yo not be able to get up field.

It’s good to hear Quinn say that…but this team has had trouble setting the edge all season long.

Yep....sign of a dumb team in general. Also poor coaching. It almost seems like they don't even look at film of their opponent to be ready for them. Goes for the coaches too. They are all shocked and confused on these misdirection plays and sweeps. SMDH.

Ive been screaming this all season our edges are baby soft....If you are relying on your best cover corner to set your edge (the earlier sounds of the season) you have a front 7 problem on the edge.

The league finally caught on to this teams weakness. Can't stop outside runs to save their life. Teams aren't going to throw it 40 times against you anymore. Better learn how to stop the run.

I mean they've had this issue with Maranelli and Nolan and now Quinn. That's 3 different Dc's....at this point I don't care about giving up the big pass if it means adding more guys in the box.

Setting an edge is generally a technique issue, Again we do play down hill but we are reckless with it, not always but probably 90% of these plays you can point to 1 or 2 guys that literally shot the finger at thier repsonsibility to go after the ball instead of hold the LOS and stay home.
