Exactly, I think Rush should be the bar for now concerning the QB position then projecting a couple years of development what do you have.

The Cowboys at some point need to go down a road of developing someone who challenges Dakota . Now rounds one and two I want defense in the April draft perhaps round 3 Jaxson Dart Ole Miss. Ewers I predict will go round one no later then 2 to a team desperate for an upgrade at QB

Accuracy solid arm , Like Herbert he’s not Justin Fields running out if the pocket but when the pocket breaks down he can extend plays or get positive yards himself .

What do you think of Will Howard vs Dart?

300 plus yards and someone who “ watched the game vs Az st “ doesn’t think he’s a top 100 pick …..ok now . 13 wins this yr he may have had some hand in it .

Bleacher report comparison Andy Dalton

I was sold against Ewers after watching that Peach Bowl game. I might take him if he falls far enough, then let him sit on the bench for a couple of years and see if he gets smarter as a QB.

I just do not think is is a franchise guy that will take a team to the next level.

To my way of thinking the Jets Giants Browns Raiders and Titans all need QB’s Ewers reminds me of a Herbert Charger hangs in the pocket and completes tight throws .

As an added bonus can use his legs to get that 3rd and short 1st down when the pocket breaks . He’s gone round one and it will be fun to see him go up against the Buckeyes in the Cotton Bowl .
No universe where Quinn Ewers is Justin Herbert.
He is not as good as Herbert in any way...none.
Come on, RW

Having said that, I do think Ewers will make an NFL team and be in the league awhile

I mean, would you draft Andy Dalton in the top 100? Why are you taking the disagreement so personally?

a lot of QBs are penalized or benefit from where they go. anyone going to the Browns is all but assured of failing there
you got to a good organization and you already have a step up over anyone with a loser

Speaking of the Browns I heard they are considering Kirk Cousins in 2025 . Haven’t Browns fans suffered enough . They need to draft a QB and get on with it

Unless his draft stock spikes over the next 2 games, I think he makes more money next year in the transfer portal. He needs to get into the top 20 picks for it to make financial sense. Can you imagine him going to Bama or UGA? He's better than anyone those 2 programs currently have on the roster.

So let me understand something if he stays in Texas that’s not a good move ? Is the portal because of Manning ?

Ewers is a choker. Always committing the dumbest mistakes and turnovers at the worst time, especially against the toughest opponent in the most important games. Add in his sidearm throwing motion? Ugh, HARD PASS on this guy.
Kind of reminds you of someone doesn't he? When the pressure gets high the choking mentality....wonder where we have seen that.

Yes, Sark needs to hand the keys to Arch Manning. They paid the kid 5M to wait. Plus, Arch has a much higher ceiling than Ewers. I think Sark would rather lose Ewers than Manning at this point.
Yea it isn't even close between Ewers and Manning at this point. Even in games where they have sent Manning in to replace Ewers the offense got a lot more vertical in a hurry.
