I dont want payton as coach. It will be just a retread of Parcells whom I was never a big fan of. We'lll lets see.......Landry and Jimmy......all defensive minded coaches and we all know what they've done....I was never a fan of OC as head coaches and it seems it is not.....dare I say it now......the history of this franchise......okay I'll say it....the history of this franchise is built on superbowl defenses (EXCEPT...the past 26 years and counting).

I'd give Quinn a shot, I saw something when he filled in for MM, the players seemed to enjoy playing for him and yes he is defensive minded......however with Jerry still at the helm........will it matter? Neither will it for payton then....

Quinn was hired by MM.

Quinn wont leave unless it is a situation that he can succeed in. In other words an organization that has a star QB in place. This is his last shot at a HC gig, most dont get a 3rd shot. So it has to be right.

Only job that looks enticing if I am Quinn is the Miami and Jacksonville jobs. If I am he, I want nothing to do with Denver, Chicago, New Orleans, Minnesota and Giants. Those places are not places to succeed. Jacksonville and Miami have solid futures at QB with Lawrence and Tua, strong pieces in place on D, and are up and coming teams. But do these teams want a head coach that is defensive minded or offensive minded? Miami let go of Flores that is an up and comer on D.

So where exactly do you see Quinn go? Personally if its not Jacksonville whom is still in a rebuild. Does he jump ship at all right now?

I say no way in hell. He's getting paid well in Dallas and will probably get a promotion to assistant head coach to stay in Dallas. If I am Jerry that is what I do.

Yeah. Wade Phillips (defensive minded) did great here.

Quinn wouldn't take the HC job here anyway if he knows Sean Payton will be replacing him a year from now!

Quinn's a horrible HC. Why would he go backwards when he's in a perfect situation & has excelled as a DC for the Dallas Cowboys?! o_O

Good point on Parcells. I hated seeing a perennial laughing stock 5-11 team turn into a young playoff contender in 4 short years.

Live and learn. Not everything works out.

Why you ask...?

Sometimes I get the feeling people think more of individual coaches and players than they do the team. Dont understand how anyone can feel that way. Go Cowboys

Thsi really is a moot point, as Quinn is for sure going to be a head coach in 2022

quinn hired by Jerry.

If Quinn gets a head coach offer he'll probably take it. If he doesn't then I expect he will remain as DC for the Cowboys.

Hes had too many interviews not to get an offer. I'd be pleasantly suprised if he stays.

True.....first of all having to deal with Jerry is one thing, now you have the ghost of Sean Payton haunting you in your sleep and it does not do much for your confidence. If Quinn is leaving, now is the year when he is at his peak as far as teams interest in him.

If DQ was a serious consideration for head coach of the Cowboys, it would’ve happened by now.

The game has evolved and most top teams have offensive minded head coaches.

There’s not a defensive minded head coach left in the playoffs for a reason.

If you look at the coaches that have been fired, majority of them have been defensive minded.

Payton is not Parcells. Parcells was never a players coach. Payton is. Payton is also calls his own plays. So we can finally move on from Moore being the OC.

But one thing Payton will bring to Dallas is that he will control the team his way. He will command respect from Jerry just like Parcells did.

Did I just read up and coming and Jacksonville in the same sentence?
